One injured in Meriden shooting spree

Police in Meriden are investigating what they call a "shooting spree" that injured one person.

Meriden is a really nice city. If you came there you would see for yourself. It has a nice racial balance and people (except for a few) get along in harmony.

Gangs like The Thug Riders are mostly responsible for this stuff happaning in town. The cops need to shut them down real quick and watch these problems go away with them.

The East Side,Wests Side and South Side of Meriden are nice. It's "Central" Meriden that sucks! All the neighborhoods near downtown really are loaded with strange people and strange things happening. Alot of drug dealing,prostitution and other activities still can be seen in that area of town. If they stopped all the federal programs,half way houses and welfare ...about 15,000 of those people causing problems would have to leave. I can remember when I was a child and Meriden was great!They need to bull doze that whole area and start over.

Shannon Marci- I am now living in PA, and when I lived in Meriden they had just built the police barrocks- We moved to PA, I now reside near Ohio and I cannot believe what has happened in Meriden in the last 13 years, I want to finish school as a cop...I'm almost done in school and can't believe what has happened there?????????? Prostitution??? I grew up on Lincoln St and also lived on Twiss Ave and can't believe that it's so dumpy??? I think It's the economy and when all this subsides that it will get better, Philadelphia is really bad right now.
