Surely the fence in Baltimore wasn't paying Osterman and Harbaugh retail. After Osterman & Harbaugh subtracted their cost for gasoline to haul the stolen goods to Baltimore then drive back, it raises the question of why they didn't put the stuff on eBay themselves and cut out the drive to Baltimore and the middleman. Part of the answer is that the pair are no doubt dull-witted judging by their decision to steal the Oil of Olay products. The decision to steal is always a poor one.

I agree with you, haha why in the heck would you steal stuff and have someone else put it on ebay and only get a cut of what they get... ummm they should have done it themselves. Our Economy is suffering enough and here you have people who do crap like this. I read an article on how shoplifting hurts our economy more than what people think.
People these days would rather do illegal stuff to get money instead of working an actual job, and people wonder why there are so many immigrants who get the jobs.

i agree 100% with smoke and sunshine-desperate people do desperate things. Most of these thefts are drug related. They just need quick cash so they can go get a quick fix. they aren't all about making top dollar with these thefts. it wouldn't make sense so most but once you have dabbled in the drug world, it makes perfect sense.i am glad no one got hurt.

I never heard of the Tootsie roll, or the Little Debbie bandits, I agree with Dean, and Smoke and Sunshine, I have often wondered if the ones who do the crimes, would just put that much time and energy into some legal, they would have been the Bill Gates and Buffits,(sic) of our world.

Now that this crime is solved it's time to move to WalMart. Every Saturday and Sunday the stealing, in particular the produce department, is rampant. The Mexicans invade this area and combine bags of oranges and other produce and pay for one on the way out. They hide medications in their child carriers, eat tubs of chicken and discard the empty containers in the store aisles. Not only does management leave this go unchecked, they advise the workers to not report it. This stealing causes all prices at WalMart to go uo which affects us all. If the PO wants to follow this up just talk to the help any weekend, also follow with management and get them on the record. If you are not going to arrest the Mexicans leave the Americans steal also. The American people are getting fed up with the double standard.

Yes we are fed up but we can not do a thing about it. Most of us work hard all day, pay our taxes so that these people (and others) can have everything handed to them free. Then they have to steal more so that we have to pay more. What can we do???

oh come on now "follow the money".....poverty, drugs, theft etc knows no race. it effects everyone.
you are getting "farmer in st thomas" all ready to get his shot gun out. we need to stop looking at color. i see the police reports and it is whites, blacks, purples and pinks.
ya know, most of retail theft happens INTERNALLY.
maybe you should start looking at your co-workers before you pull a stupid race card.

So were they put in prison, I just saw Osterman's name a few weeks ago for something else. He was also connected to some thefts in my area.
These repeat offenders should just have their hands cut off like in the old days. Can't steal it if you can't pick it up. On second thought they would probably just give them a prostetic, on the tax payers dollar.

I feel you on that one. That is so frustrating to see those people just sitting in there cars in front of the store, because they are too lazy to walk. Like it isn't congested enough in front of the store with all the people walking, and cars going by. I wish Wal-Mart would do something about that. It's a wonder someone hasn't been hit by a car.

What, when did the honey buns get stole?
I also would like to know about the ones who park in front of Wal Mart. When it rains, it's just awful.

guess if WalMart in Chambersburg asked all the Mexicans and fat lazy people to leave, they would have no more customers.
