MERCERSBURG, Pa. One man and two women were killed Saturday evening when the car in which they were riding crossed three yards and hit two trees in the 200 block of Johnstons Lane in Peters Township, police said.

Pennsylvania State Police said they were not releasing the names of the victims until relatives of all three were notified.

Trooper Eric Campbell said at least two of the victims were from Mercersburg.

The single-vehicle accident occurred at about 7:20 p.m., a 911 dispatcher said.

The Chevrolet car, which suffered extensive front-end damage, was traveling northeast when it left the road for unknown reasons, Campbell said. The speed limit on the residential street is 25 mph.

Were surmising it is (was) a high-speed crash, Campbell said.

Campbell said he was unsure whether the occupants were wearing seat belts.

All were pronounced dead at the scene by Franklin County (Pa.) coroners.

MMP&W Fire Co. provided assistance with traffic control and removing the car from the scene.

Family members gathered at the intersection of Faust Street and Johnstons Lane as news of the accident spread. They cried and comforted each other.

Medevac helicopters were called to the scene, but were not needed, the dispatcher said.

Further details were not immediately available.

Life goes on in the judgemental, illiterate, stinking, corrupt, hypocritical county of Franklin.

Happy Memorial Day weekend, and remember: Drive safely.

I agree Josh.. some people just don't care about what they are saying, what we have lost last night. They are A**'s so Frank Wright shout your mouth and let family and friends grive. This could be you someday griveing for a love one and how would you like us to bash you and your family. This was a mother, son death leaving another son behind to grive for his mom and brother.A mother and father to grive over their only child and grandson.I watched this boy grow up go to school with my son and was friends with mom for many years. My heart is breaking and going out too all involved.
Gotta wonder

I normally don't say negative things, but you asked for it!!

You Mr Wright (WRONG) are one of the most heartless people imaginable. I have read your negative comments in the past and you are a jerk!! You must be a meserable person, and unhappy with you life. I doubt if you have anyone that you can call a true friend, because negative people like you tend to push people away.

It does not matter if speed was involved on not. These 3 people have lost thier lives and now their families and everyone who knows them, have to suffer and deal with the loss. They could have been great, wonderful caring adults (unlike the miserable person you are).

I take it you are an older person. Have you NEVER drove a little fast when you were younger? Have you NEVER don't anything wrong in your life? Were you abused as a child, had no parents who cared, no friends, or just a plain cold-hearted person?

Since you seem to think that you are better than other people and perfect, you must really be something special. The next time that you are going to WALK ON WATER, please let us know, so that we can watch you!!

One final comment ~ Why don't you do everyone a favor and get rid of your computer, so you are not tempted to leave anymore stupid comments!!
So Sad
