Sir, today some agitators sponsored by the Democratic Party will visit your office on Mercer Island to try to sway your vote on the ObamaCare legislation.
I am a Vet, retired from Boeing and from the Federal Government and most importantly, a patriot.
I am frightened today because this land I love is being taken over by thugs, Czars and fascists. We elected YOU and others to represent us.
Now we see Czars influencing us but they do not answer to us, they only answer to Obama.
We see the takeover of private companies like GM and Chrysler and WAMU and so many others. WAMU was not in trouble, they were sacrificed and I think it was illegal???
There is nothing in the constitution that remotely suggests that we are to tolerate Government abuse as we are seeing today.
The Health Plan is gibberish and it would take a room full of Philadelphia Lawyers to make any sense out of it.
Clearly Obama has not read the whole thing, or if he has, he does not understand it. He disgraces The Office.
The Democrat’s theme is that our citizens are without health care. Actually, we have the best health care in the world. Could it be better? Of course.
So, let us adjust what we have and not create another bevy of bureaucracies to waste our money and create fiefdoms to advance the power of the Government over the citizens.
Do we have 47 million without health care? No one has proven this. The Heritage foundation put out a report around July 28 saying that of the “47 million”, at least 16 million are making over $50,000 per year and have chosen NOT to pay for health care.
Among the remaining, there are an estimated 14 million illegal aliens who should not even be here but are getting treatment superior to our citizens because everyone is afraid to appear to be biased.
Many of the rest of the 17 million are on some form of Medicare or Medicaid but are being counted when they should not be.
In reality, it appears we may have about 8 Million folks without proper health care.
But no one can prove the numbers. Dave, with your leadership, we can fix this without totally screwing up what is almost completely working.
Please continue to maintain your principled position opposing this steam roller attempt by Obama and his henchmen.
… Speaking of Illegal Aliens. Let us stop calling them Undocumented. They are here illegally and if we euphemize their illegal positions, we weaken our ability to uphold our laws.
I shall begin a series of letters to you with solutions for what appears to me to be our main issues and problems. I have a simple and inexpensive solution to the illegal drugs problems. If you have any specific issues I should look into, please let me know.
Please stand fast and hold onto the principals that have made our country great.
I suggested to the person who answered the phone that when people do come in to protest, PLEASE ask for some form of identification so that we do not waste your time with those pseudo criminals like ACORN and Union Plants who are sent by your adversaries. We deserve your time. And we appreciate your stance.
Those being sent in to disrupt do not deserve your time unless they are truly your constituents.
