<quoted text>this is true, but if a 12 year old is comfortable killing little dogs, he is already a sociopath. I believe Jeffrey Dalmer started out with puppies and kittens. This kid....if he isnt completely evil, is close to it
You are correct, but my point was that I have an easier time justifying people killing other people than I do with people killing animals.

I referenced the 17 yr old in with the 12 year old because just 2 days before the incident with the puppies, the 17 yr old had been arrested and charged with felony animal abuse for dousing an animal with lighter fluid and setting it on fire back in April.
Both incidents happened in my home town and has most everyone upset and angry because it didn't seem, at first, that PD was going to do anything. The DA may not now because the 17 yr old is a juvenile.
I certainly realize these are 2 seperate incidents, totally different circumstances but, they both need to be addressed in this thread because it is becoming a pattern with youngsters abusing animals and that is not a good sign.
We are not, or at least I'm not, addressing a single incident of a little boy killing 2 innocent animals...I am referring to the overall mentality of so many of our youth these days.
So many serial killers started out abusing, torturing and killing innocent animals and it makes me wonder, very nervously, what type of generation are my grandkids growing up in. What can we do to stop the madness now? How many of these incidents are going undetected or unreported now?
I apologize if I came across as an 'idiot'. I read the posts on this thread AFTER I had read the article, forum and responses in my home town newspaper...I was angry at the insensitive remarks being made here about the puppies. Granted, Chihuahuas can be very nerve-wracking and I, personally, would not own one but, these little ones were the innocent victims of a 12 yr olds confused and twisted mind and deserve some compassion.
At least the 12 yr old took his anger out on the puppies...children younger than him have been known to kill their own parents and innocent bystanders just because they were being disciplined or were told they couldn't do something.
All I'm asking is to have some compassion for the animals who did not deserve to die and, pray this child gets the mental help he so desperately needs before the violence escalates.
I must admit that I am shocked by your response. I was expecting some kind of negative remark, but instead you gave us all a detailed explanation. Now I understand where you are coming from. Thank you.

Could be he wanted to thin-out the herd and become the top dog. Maybe his mommy paid more atention to the dogs and feed them better, EH JINXS?

What I find almost as distrubing as what this kid did, are the remarks from some posters in attempts at humor over the situation. Forget the breed of dog here and lets stick with the facts that this freak of a kid is killing defenseless animals. COMPANION animals.

I agree with the poster that also found it out of line.

Now about the 12 year old, The fact he could do such a thing, is seriously distrubing and more than likely already gone down a path to hell. I personally would not want him growing up in my neighborhood. Get him on some seriousl meds and mental health program.

Actually I was being nice and sincere. If you read the end of my comment, you'll see I said "thank you." The only reason I said "shocked" was because of his repeated claims that we were ignorant; therefore, I assumed that something of that nature would be directed towards me. Not that I have to explain myself to you, my post was for Jinx.

It sounds like it is YOU who is trying to stir up ****!

I completely agree you with here. This is really sad and disturbing. I hope this boy gets the treatment that he needs. If he continues down this path I definatly can see him becoming a serial killer or something in the near future.:/

Kiss Kiss to you WOW, I certainly did not mean to stir you up.
The manner in which some responded to what Jinx originally said gave him or her pause to thnk the reader was just not getting it.

Have a great evening.

Any sign makers out there? We need a couple signs made up real quick to post outside the kid's home reading "Warning: Possible Future Serial Killer". While I can understand being upset at being bitten by the dogs, the reaction far exceeded the dogs' behavior.

I'm not one who thinks long term therapy and especially medications prescribed is the answer at all. I meant one initial session with someone knowledgeable in youth killing animals. It's clear he's angry....but why? Yes, God is a place I hope he finds. Someone else said the serial killer J.D. started out this way, and it's true he did.

This kid is one sick puppy himself. This is the kind of stuff subhuman sociopathic serial killers are made of,.. pure evil.

by the age of twelve most peoples personalities are set. This kid is already dead in the soul. Any people out there see a series called 7-Up? It is a documentary of children from the same class room that follows them from age 7 to 40. The evidence is imperical as far as Im concerned, thats why I say this kid is already dead

I was going to ask you the same question when you decided to butt in on something that didn't concern you.

My opinion...the kid needs help. Seriously, find this boy somebody to talk to so we can figure out what is going on in his head.

If you were going to ask me the same question then you need to go back and read, instead of just jumping into shit. I gave my thoughts on the matter quite articulatey.
Have a nice day.

Of course there is hope, for this child. I agree God is this child's best avenue for forgiveness, recovery, and change. Until such time as this young boy communicates with the Higher Authority it is up to Child Protective Services, State Adoptions and a State Ombudsman to check on this child in Juvenile Hall and the entire Juvenile Court process, why ?? Because, that is their JOB and under current California Laws for Youth in Foster-care Placements they are suppose to protect the child within the legal system, they don't have the right to abandone the child because he got into trouble ( even this serious matter ).
