Review: Simply That Flowers

We just got married in yosemite on July 26th. We set everything up with Simply that Flowers starting in January. We gave them a deposit shortly after to reserve the date. When it came time to send in half the payment 4 weeks prior to the wedding they quit taking calls and emails except to say that they were really busy and everything would be fine. Two weeks before the wedding we finally got ahold of them and they had all kinds of excuses and were freaking out because we wouldn't leave them alone but we were just trying to pay for our flowers. Anyways they told us that they were not going to do our flowers and to find another florist. This was two weeks befor our out of state wedding. This was the worst experience I have ever had dealing with any company. They still refuse to pay us back our money and will not take our calls. They are in so far over their heads running a buisness that No One in their right mind should use this company and no one with good conscience should refer them to anybody. We talked to the Ahwahnee Hotel while we were there and they let us know that they had heard from their guests the same thing and that they no longer use them in any sort of way.

With reading this post above I need to write as the owner of Simply that flowers in Yosemite Valley and Merced and Arla by far was way out of line with her comments. We have e-mails from her calling us every name in the book and she wanted out attention almost an hour every day and when you get to a point being a business owner that no matter what the bride or couple will not be happy you need to do the right thing and just let them go and get someone else.
The other vendors and contacted us and they too say that this was the worst couple to be working with and two other vendors also let them have the option of getting another vendor in their place. IT is also not fair for her to even bring up her disatisifation with the hotel employees or staff.
Heard from one of her vendors from the day of and she said she is a Nut job....to back there is a forum like this and that slanderous comments can be made and I just happen to fall on to this one.
Please give us a chance to make all your dreams come true and we have over 200 wedding a year in Yosemite Valley alone and since 2001 we have NEVER had a complaint!

Just read the comments from the young couple in Washington and she should look in the mirror and see if her nose is growing daily. I deal with the mother and daughter team all the time and Never have I heard of any complaints about their business and they make long term friends from what I can see....I just think she might be sour about being told that they would prefer her to go else where if she felt they would not make her 100% satisfied!
Too bad there is always one sour apple in the bunch!
I would trust them with my wedding or funeral anyday!
They are so pleasant and professional and also quite funny!

We agree with Virginia G. completely. We were just married in September in Yosemite, and Simply That Flowers was a wonderful business to work with. We live out of the area, but we never had any worries about communicating our preferences and budget for our wedding flowers. Natalie spent 2 hours sitting down with us (plus numerous phone conversations and emails), reviewing options and making sure she had a good idea of our taste and wedding style. The end result was spectacular... our arrangements were gorgeous! Everything was delivered on time and within budget and I didn't worry about a thing on our wedding day. All you have to do is visit their website and you can see for yourself how talented they are with floral designs.

We we just married last weekend in Yosemite (Sept.), and had Simply That Flowers as our wedding florist. They did a wonderful job, from start to finish. They sat down, spent plenty of time talking to us about our preferences and budget, followed-up every step of the way and were very easy to get a hold of (I live 2 hours away). The centerpiece arrangements were gorgeous - exactly our taste - as well as the arch and bridal bouquets. I would highly recommend this florist as they are very friendly and very professional. Next time use Merced Floral (Used to be Yosemite Flowers) In the Raley's shopping center.....

Merced Floral is ne of the few merchants in Merced I actually received consistent good service from.(The other places in Merced that I think offer consistently great customer service are DeAngelo's Restaurant, and Raley's grocery store)...

Pretty much all other merchants in Merced are lacking in the customer service area....

You were overly compensated for our being a day late. The order would have been there on time if you had given the correct address upon placing the order and you were unavailable to our phone calls. Sorry for any trouble!

I had the best experience EVER with Ginny and Natalie. They made all of my wedding visions come true. They are extremely talented and personable. I would recommend them to anyone!!

We used Simply that for our fall wedding at the Ahwahnee in Yosemite and had a wonderful experience. Natalie spent quite a bit of time with me drawing up ideas, creating mock-table arrangements for me to take home and selecting the perfect bouquets for the wedding. She was completely professional, yet very personable at the same time. On the day of the wedding everything ran smoothly and I did not have to worry about a thing. There were even some extra little floral touches throughout the wedding. To this day, our guests are still commenting on how beautiful the bouquets were. I can't thank Simply That enough and would highly recommend them to anyone!

We used Natalie and Ginny back in 2006 for our wedding in Yosemite. They were wonderful to work with, came up with fun and creative ideas, and did day of wedding coordination for us. I handed everything off the day before, and did nothing but enjoy my wedding day. From the rehearsal dinner flowers, to the wedding suite, everything was beautiful

[Bad Florist]

We used "Simply That Flowers" for our wedding in Yosemite last year and I would not recommend this florist to anyone. The flowers arrived literally minutes before the ceremony was supposed to start, even though we had scheduled the delivery for a few hours before. There was also a boutonniere missing, so we had to improvise with an extra flower from the bouquet. After the wedding, I contacted the florist and requested a refund for the missing boutonniere. She refused to do so! She denied that it was missing and did not apologize or take responsibility for being late. Though our wedding was still fantastic, the florist experience was a low point. I will not patronize "Simply That Flowers" again.
