One day a lady is happy, the next day she is out there lying, the next day they want to bite your butt, the next day they want love, the next day they hate you to the max.

Now, now! The police were just trying to find the woman before some Pakistani terrorist touched her precious pieces.

I could see the police going all out if a bystander reporated a woman being knocked down and tossed in the trunk of a car, but there is a reason why missing person reports were stifled for 72 hours and this incident proves why.

Maybe she was trying to enroll in a college in Merced. How can parents be so dumb not to know?

There are consequences for lying. Charge the nitwit and her family for all the expenses incurred in looking for her. Maybe the next would-be dummy will think twice before yelling wolf.

This upsets me... I am the kind of person that will pass this along to family and friends just in case they saw anything related to the incident.

She needs to grow the f*ck up and deal with her problems instead of run away and waste valuable resources that could be used to help people that are in actual need.

Why was UCLA even mentioned ?

A person is reported missing... what bearing does the school they attend have on the situation ? Unless abducted from their dorm room, the school library, classroom or campus there is no need to include the school.

Would the Daily Breeze be headlining a dinky little no-name school out in the backwoods, I doubt it. Even if this girl attended UCLA which she didn't - she went missing from home !!

By the way I hope this brat has to cough up some dough to pay for the search team.

Technically speaking, what laws did she break?
If she is an adult, why would the family have to pay for search expenses?

Charge the family with what? Charge the twit with what? This is a no win situation for the police. Unfortunately it was the twit's fault for not having the courtesy to leave a note explaining what a liar she is but it isn't against the law to skip out when your chickens come home to roost.

I hope they charge the girl and anyone who knew what was really going on with her. I feel sorry for the family as they had no clue as to what was really going on, were concerned enough about her safety to call the PD and were preparing to celebrate a graduation and instead they are dealing with all of this negative publicity.

Federal prisons have over 35% illegals and 20% of Arizona prisons are
filled with illegals. In the last few years 80% of our law
enforcement who have been killed or wounded have been by an illegal.
The majority of people coming now are people we need to be worried
about. The ranchers told us that they have seen a change in the people
coming; they are not just those who are looking for work and a better
life.
The Federal Government has refused for years to do anything to help
the border states . We have been overrun and once they are here we
have the burden of funding state services that they use. Education
costs have been over a billion dollars. Their healthcare costs billions of
dollars. Our State is broke,$3.5 billion deficit and we have many
serious decisions to make. One is that we do not have the money to
care for any who are not here legally. It has to stop.
The border can be secured. We have the technology; we have the ability
to stop this invasion. We must know who is coming and they must come
in an organized manner legally so that we can assimilate them into our
population and protect the sovereignty of our country. We are a nation
of laws. We have a responsibility to protect our citizens and to
protect the integrity of our country and the government under which we live.

Nope, more cops are killed in highway crashes than killed by felon's bullets.

"During the past three years, 16 Texas police officers were shot to death, but 18 died in car and motorcycle crashes."

because ucla is considered an elite school, that is, you got to achieve competitive grades ("good" doesn't cut it) and score high on SAT's. a lot of people are too dumb by only recognizing the basketball program out of UCLA, but their med-school, undergrad admissions are very, very difficult to gain admission to. it's not the same thing as signing up for a community college homie. And from your tone, i can tell that you don't know the intrinsic value of attending ucla.

I'm sure your former teachers are happy you didn't reveal the name of the school you attended. However, I wish you had been in my English class, you definitely would have changed the bell curve & brought my grades up !

UCLA was mentioned because it was a major part of her story and background, according to the lies she had been telling her parents. Now, I know you watch the old Columbo re-runs, and I'm sure you're a expert detective with years of experience, but following up and searching the campus would have been something of interest to the police, believing she actually had a connection there! Any other obvious topics you would like explained or have you exhausted yourself being the village idiot today?
