Well, there's a litle something called the "burden of proof". The evidence of the crimes will be needed. As fucked up as it may be for some potentially guilty individuals to walk free, you can't circumvent court procedure.

I am just one of many that is not wining, but i graduated in Winnfield, my home is now in south LA, I did leave! I came to Winnfield to stay with family, My daughters home compeletely destroyed, my home, half of it was destroyed. I used the 1500 to feed my children, was that ok with you?
That is all i got , I got a damn contractor that ran off with my money and we had to live in that dang camper for 15 months, try it, it was not fun.

you should have stayed with mike and linda smith. although, they might have taken your 1500.00 to remodel their home.

I hear that! tee hee! My brothers family to where we left to after staying in Winnfield,(left to Baton ROuge) He wanted it, and more! We did spend a lot, but my mom came to WInnfield and the hotel they stayed at treated them so great, along with the pharmacy (gave her medicine cheap cheap) and the hospital cause her husband was in the hospital there. They stayed at the hotel about 2 months, because she is on oxygen, and it took that long to get her power. We stayed in Winn for about 5 days, but my husband stayed at home, and we saw my dauthers house on the news, so I had to get to Bogalusa to see if my dear hubby alive. He said he will go next time!

They couple then sold the home for about $80,000.00. What this amounts to is that this Katrina couple lied, then basically got a lump sum FREE of Eighty thousand dollars.
