While the station owner should be commended for his statement, he has harmed no one but himself. The people that gave him the thumbs up support did so as they drove down the street to the next available gas station.

The only way to impact the oil companies is a change in our driving habits, the change in our gas comsumption. If, for example, you drive 300 miles each month, you are going to consume the same amount of gas regardless of when or where you buy it.

I recently saw a call to action in which the author said, "let's not buy gas on Wednesday, if no one buys gas on Wednesday, the oil companies will feel it."

If I don't buy gas on Wednesday, I certainly will on Thursday or Friday because I still drive my car to work each day. Do you see?

One town, one gas station, one state revolting will do little to nothing to hurt the oil industry, now if we as a nation set out to hurt them where the profits are, then we all need to get a plan of action together and EVERYONE who drives a car take part.

Say ..... Call to action for all who drive to work to car pool for a month straight pack as many in one car as possible and reduce gas consumption greatly that way. Too many people like freedom to come and go and schedules vary too much to allow for such action to be possible though.

Our Government hs the ability to uncap wells here in the USA and to purchase oil temp from other areas, but it will never happen too much greed on capital hill, too much personal interest in opec.

So where does that leave us? stuck for the time being until alternative fuels are formulated and proven to work in our vehicles without causing damage.
