What kind of dog? The usual kind: loving, loyal, beloved by the couple as part of their family. I too, am very glad they are all okay. Well done, rescuers!

Glad all three are fine. Never underestimate the love of a pet. They're family too.

The courage and loyalty these people showed, to rescue their loved one...well, I think anyone who has a dog as part of their family would have done the same remarkable thing! Hats off to these good folks!

well, it clearly wasn't a pit bull, rottweiler, husky, or doberman, as any one of those breeds would have pulled the owners in and drowned them, on purpose, before lifting their wallet and blowing all their late owners' money on cigarettes. and then mauling every child in america. the end.

Dogs are special parts of a persons life....glad I have mine, and I probably would have done the same thing to rescue him.

This was a happy outcome only by the grace of God. Doesn't anyone here realize that these two people could have died trying to save an animal. This kind of story should not be published-A child might read the story and think it was worth risking his or her life to save a dog. Anyone who thinks a dog's life is equivalent to a human's life needs to get his priorities in order.

The only thing that directs an individual to risk their life for their pet is their heart. You or no one has any influence over that.

I think any normal human would risk their life for something they love!
