You must be some kind of idiot. You don't think that doctors can tell the difference?
I am no idiot, if scabies need a human host to live on then they would have died on the matress, and scabies can only be contracted through sexual intercourse, not through touching, or wearing someones coat or pants that have it.

She is a user, she lives on 32nd and Greenfield, that is a terrible neighborhood, a high crime area of crack heads, and coke dealers.

When you smoke crack it makes you really paranoid and start thinking people or things are out to get you, She was probably thinking all her crack soars were bed bugs, so the crack made her freak out and rip her carpet out and all the rest of her bed spread along with the bed. I think this is a simple "I want a lawsuit" ordeal once this evidence gets through that she does smoke crack, im sure she will get screwed over.

The thrift store makes alot of money and should vacum the mattresses and be sprayed with a disenfectant before being put out. Those places need to be clean as well.

When I use to work at GW back in the day we never took in anything that we thought could be infested with something. A lot of the stuff we wouldn't take was accepted by the salvation army.

If it was infested with mites she would have easily seen some sort of sign. IE: dark spots along the seems, or on the side of the bed. Surprised that she didn't save the it mattress as evidence. And if she recently got those "Sores" they looked like they were pretty old. And you wouldn't see the mites after taking a shower. They would quickly burrow into the skin.

My brother had scabies last month. Criss-crossing red lines all over his body. I just think that this woman was looking for attention.

Munchausen anyone?

Not much difference in sleeping at a hotel or motel ...
"Each state decides its own laws for allowing the resale of used mattresses, according to the Federal Trade Commission. The FTC explains that most states allow mattress reselling as long as federal labeling and processing standards are met."

For one she didnt have scabies... sadly my son had got it somehow and its a mite that you cant see unless under a micro-scope and with a skin swap. The meds that take care of it is a lotion type thing that is rubbed all over your body(except head)that stays on for 24 hours then they are gone you might have to 2 apps only if they are really bad plus your whole family has to do the lotion too! you cant see them on the floor or in a tub!!!!! And it sure takes longer then 12 hours to react you get a rash mostly first not sores look it up !!!!It was more like bed bugs- there arent the same thing.

Considering the fact that you cannot "see" mites with the naked eye I dont understand how FOX SIX didnt do their research before they took this one on.......very poor journalism......

This story was a nice reminder that second-hand stores like Salvation Army and GoodWill have the "Sold As-Is" policy, but was this story worth a "Contact 6?" Most victims on Contact 6 are able to prove that a company/person had wronged them. Yet, in this case, she couldn't even produce a receipt showing that she purchase the mattress from them. She could of easily picked it up from the curb, which I seen people doing.

Nevertheless, if it's too good to be true, it is.

This person belongs to someone. She is someone's daughter and family to many. She may be a lot of things, but she's not claiming to be perfect. And neither are any of you. She is a person and doesn't deserve many of these comments, true or false. While she has subjected herself to this, her problem is not yours. Whether it be poor journalism, a bad mattress or her as her own enemy this is not anyone else's problem but hers. Leave her be please and save yourself some time and her family the pain and embarrassment. She's only human. This has been a difficult time for her and her family regardless of the cause... I know first hand, I am her daughter. If you can't respect her, respect the people that love her.

She is the one who made this whole mess, public. She is the one who contacted Fox6 with her story. What did she expect would happen? If you make your story public, the public will make their comments known, whether they be good or bad. She brought this whole mess on herself. She has to learn to take the bad with the good. Not everyone is going to believe her story. As the saying goes, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but none will ever hurt me". She needs to live by that.

She may be your mother but she is sucking the life out of my father, and using him for his money, she is a crack head and you know it, that is why you moved away from her. I wish my dad would realize that she is just taking his money and when he has no more left she will just dump him on the streets, or cheat on him like she did last time. My father doesn't deserve to get the life sucked out of him and him money thrown away, he is my father and I only have one father and I wish I can have him back but that is his own choice and you mother is feeding him lies and he is getting sucked into it. She is also my mother. How she abandoned me as a child, I will never forget. All those times I waited for her to come, she never did. All those times I waited for her to contact me, she never did. It's been a pain for years, and seeing her on TV I had to relive the trauma again. If you can't respect someone who did that, then I don't know what to respect anymore.

Speaking as a friend of the family....she did not move away from her Mother, her Mother abandoned her as a teenager and never came back. She's not denying who her Mother is today, but asking for some understanding of the pain this has brought back. She also only gets one Mother and would be lying if she said she didn't want her back. It sounds as if you are both experiencing the same loss, however placing blame solely on one person and taking it out on someone who shares your pain, frustration and anger is not the way to go. The reality of this situation is that unfortunately it takes two people to tango and these two people ("Adults") have made choices despite who they are bringing down, even if it is one another. I sincerely hope that the pain you both are experiencing will fade and that no matter what the outcome, both of you and your families can be at peace. As no one deserves this.
