Since I moved here to a new development 6 years ago, I've paid for a new Elementry school, bonds for improving existing elementry schools debt sv ($78.43), High School debt sv ($77.15),, Perris Union high school CDF 92.1 ($259.94), Menifee USD 2003-2 IA A ($1262.94) while they were closing elementry schools...Thats $1678.46 just in schools...not including the rest of my property tax bill and mello roos. I realize $30 per $100,000 is not that much and I sure would like to see the kids get a good education but when is it going to end ? I don't even have school age kids anymore....

The bond proposes nearly $450,000,000 worth of construction but is only raising $153,000,000. Clearly, not everything on the list will be built, and the middle school, which has had twice the occupancy it has been designed to accommodate, will be left out again. The high schools, which are NOT crowded now, will increase their capacity by more than 3,000, which isn't needed. I'm a teacher in the district and I am telling you now that if this bond is passed, we will be wasting a lot of money.
