The "seminole" were Redstick Creek escapees from the Battle of Horseshoe Bend in Alabama, not Georgia.

They fled to Spanish Florida and were raiding across the border when Jackson went after them.

Great! This touches on an idea I've had for years now. Instead of crying about the Mexican invaders, we might consider crossing the border and taking the place for ourselves. There's oil, gold and silver, fertile land a compliant workforce. Why not? We should have never given back Mexico, Cuba, the Panama Canal and the Phillipines. We'd have a lot less trouble today if we'd hung on to them.
