Wow, I had no idea that there were so many people who have had a bad experience with Kirby. The people who came and did my demo were really nice but at the very end I could tell that even though the girl said that it was for free at the beginning it was not. I understand that they are doing their job but I was kind of disappointed when they had kept insisting for a better deal and the phone thing well hats off I used to be in marketing too but I didn't want to be rude and throw anyone out....Thanks though, I have just gotten my answer on whether I will be purchasing one...That's a NOPE!

Explain scam? You buy a vacuum that is clearly worth its value for the way it's built and cleans. The Internet age has really killed sales. Its really sad that people live their lives off hearsay and no facts. If you are intelligent enough to appreciate value from a great vacuum then buying a Kirby is worth every penny. I find it funny how some people will only go on forums like theses to rant when things didn't go their way. Sorry customer who went online to find a stolen one half the price. That's real risky because aftermarket parts aren't covered. As for ex gruntled dealer or per hires. Something to think about? Maybe as a dealer you weren't cut out for the job? Being a leader isn't meant for all. Yes it is hard work and long hours but isn't that what being self employed is all about. You make your path. Dist just provide the door.

Kirby vacuums are excellent machines. What most people have a problem with is that they're being sold along a model not unlike used cars. For a simple consumer item, we really should be past haggling for a price. This tragically prehistoric sales model only exists because Scott Fetzer is fearful of angering their distributors by changing the paradigm.

Potential customers are also put off by the complete lack of background investigation of sales force members by the distributors. The distributors have been given no incentive to care, so criminals and miscreants are often encouraged to join the team. Scott Fetzer takes no meaningful action against distributors who act in this manner, so it just goes on and on.

One of these days, Scott Fetzer will have to be dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century. Until then, Kirby vacuums and those who sell them will be an odd throwback of the early 20th century.

Oh, and there are few good reasons to buy a new Kirby. Pretty much all of the G series, from the G3 all the way to the current Sentria, are identical except for styling. There is no such thing as a lifetime warranty, only a lifetime rebuild guarantee at a locked in price based on when you originally purchased it. Secondhand purchases do not get this coverage, but you can still have Kirby rebuild a secondhand machine...it'll currently cost you about $350 for them to do so. That will get you a complete, as new rebuilt machine, looking and performing identically to when they first sent that machine out of the factory.

Also, all of the parts for all of the G series machines are easy to find and purchase, and you can do the work yourself if you're of a mind to do so. They're actually pretty easy to work on, and there are great videos on youtube showing you how to do pretty much any repair job that a G series Kirby would ever need.

Best thing I heard from all this kirby shit is when they try to sell you the product , get them to clean your pop carpet for free and give them some free water and hawk them as they do it for their thirsty face.

I have worked for QCSI and and perhaps I didnt make many sales because I wont lie to people, just to get in the door or to make a sale.I did work my ass off for them only to be left for hours at a time by the van drivers. They do lie to people all the time and also do false advertising, they dont pay you as promised and the white vans they drive you all over in are death-traps for the people inside. Many of the doors are welded shut, seats are not bolted to the floor, seatbelts are a joke, windows do not work if there is a window, driver seats are held upright by arope, need I say more ??? I have never worked for such a sleazy company as QCSI .There has got to be some type of legal action we can take and I am diligently looking into it.Mr. Cooper you should be ashamed of yourself for doing bussiness this way You must not have any Morals,,For supposedly being a millionare ,its on the backs of any honest workers that did work hard for you,,,

I used to work for J.O.V company, well let me tell you its the worst job that anyone can have seriously. The long hours in heat,no breaks, I don't even get paid until the end if the.month.and when I was in training for 3 days they said we.get.payed every Saturday bullllllllcrapppppp! Don't get me wrong the kirby vaccum it self is great. But being a dealer and doing demos for people who are tired.and want to relax and enjoy there time at home because they just got off of work is not worth doing anything. I wouldnt want people in my house for 2hrs giving me a demo about the greatest vaccum in the world. I had no life. We only had one day off and this job is back breaking. I did more crap then what a maid does (from my experience). To be honest I was desperate for a job. So if you are thinking about applying for this job save yourself now. Trust me its not worth the sweat. Get a real job not this bull!!!!!

I would assume by your lack of typing etiquette (typing in all caps conveys anger and it's basically yelling at anyone who reads your post) and constant mention of school dropouts, that you're the uneducated one. Anyone that knows anything about business knows that you have a much better success rate with established relationships. So of course your "dropout" bosses would have had you start with friends and family. I worked for Kirby for about a year nearly 20 years ago, and I along with many successful business leaders got their start with Kirby. Maybe you should have dropped the attitude and stuck around awhile. You would have learned much more than just how to sell a vacuum.

I just got hired at QCSI in Murrieta and have orientation on thursday. After reading all of the posts I am really scared that this job really IS a scam. I already filled out their application and gave them my social security number and info and everything. I'm planning not to attend the orientation at all. Can they do something with my SSN, should i be worried?

Yes.. we will steal your identification now that we've acquired your SSN, then proceed to create a bank account under your identity and launder our tax money. Then when we get caught, the Fed's will look for YOU! HAHAHAHAHAHA

I was offered a job as one of these "kirby guys". The whole thing about it, is that yeah it is a door-to-door sales job. They lied to me and told me that they would set up appointments with people who already want one, but the first day out on the field I found out that was not the case. There was many other reasons why I didn't return to work the next day, but the main reason was because I was lied to by the trainer. I mean, I was as straight up as possible and asked him "So are we going to be going and knocking on doors?" and he told me "No, not at all" and that just seems very unprofessional. Right now, I am currently unemployed and was considering going back to see if I could work for them again, even if it means door-to-door sales, but I'm just not going to because it would be a waste of my resources, spending 6 days a week trying to sell vacuums all day in a van didn't seem like a high enough paying job even though they said I'd be making $1500 a month even without making any sales. I sold a vacuum to a close friend's family in my training period and what was the payoff for me? A certificate thats says "Congratulations on your first sale". That shit aint worth 15 cents, but thats what i got for literally being a salesperson doing his job. I think they just need to be more honest with people and stop bullshitting people like me and they would have a good company going.
I dont know if this helps anyone, but all I'm saying is that they lie. Not saying anything bad about the vacuum because it works better than any vacuum i've ever seen, but just the company in murrieta thats selling these needs to do something different.(by the way, you guys saying they are "scamming" are idiots, because if someone is coming to your door asking to show you a product, it should be obvious that they are trying to sell it to you. thats what they do for a living, so just tell them no thanks, is that so hard?)

You will go door to door there arent any preset appointments. Expect to work 12 to 13 hours. First day in the field yesterday. Started at 10am dosnt get home till 11. They lie to customers about prices just not worth your time fuck the trainer mr. ellis mr.cooper and mia dont get bamboozled people!!!!

Okay I understand that most of you dislike kirby. But in all honesty it is an amazing product. The company is a lot of hours and a strictly commission based job so as many demos you can get the better. I personally work at qcsi and I'm not saying everyone there is perfect but just like there are rude people in all locations there are also hard working people simply trying to make a living. No this is not an excuse to lie and be pushy at the door. But it is a big help if you just let them do the cleaning. And no you don't have to buy the product. Do we want you to?? Yes. But do you have to? No. Simple as that. Ps. Most people in the office are super nice so idk what everyones talking about.
My wife went to their office in Murietta, CA, and yes, the office people are very nice indeed, but that is part of hook and reel in approach:
1. when my wife asked if they were an employment agency they replied by saying thery were hiring customer service people and deviate from telling that you will be selling Kirbies.
2. yes, they tell you will be making 1,800.00 a month plus commission but again do not tell you how

I advised my wife to forget it and go to a real Employment Agency

Everything here is completely accurate no one know how hard Kirby workers work unless you're out there yourself in the hot sun hours on end try to get a stupid appointment set I got thousands of doors slammed in my gave and after got yelled at by a not so bright team leader trying to hit on me (sigh) And the evil Mr.Cooper whose first name I still do not know did nothing after I reported his precious team leader for sexual harassment all he said was not this again apparently this kid does this often to every young girl anyways this is not an ideal job for anyone and I do not recommend it what so ever everything this person said about Kirby is true I'm surprised I made it out
