Dear Concerned Citizen,
I live in the city of Murrieta and I am very proud of the police department that patrols our city. I have lived in other cities in the past that were patroled by the Sheriffs Department and got less than superior service. Im not sending this to get into a fight with you, however, I am sending this to you to let you know the Murrieta Police Deparment is a proactive department that wants to keep the city neat and clean, free from knuckleheads. In regards to your "incident", there is a process in which you can file a complaint and have the issue addressed by his/her superiors... as I see it and based on the lack of responses you got on this site, it appears you may be the only one who is claiming this alleged "abuse"... good luck in your endeavor.

Traveling south on the 215 a Murrieta police car passed my vehicle so fast but with no lights or sirins. Hmmmmm. They appeared to be going to the same place as me so I was a little concerned when we both got off at the Murrieta Hot Springs exit. The officer did not stop at the light. Wow I thought this must be seriouse. Over the brige we went as she quickly went into the 7/11 on Madison. I drove up walked in and witnessed her get some coffee and junk. I looked at her she looked at me and just left. That coffee must be something else to risk the lives of others at the expense of the tax paying citizens. What a bunch of hypocrits as they lecture us on safe driving.

Actually, there is a 60+ yr old lady down the street from me that is continuously being harrassed by the low-lifes that live around her. I have been living here 10 years and she has been here longer than me. When she complains, the police ignore her. Yet, when the low-lifes living around her harrass her and cause trouble the police are taking their side. Case in point...she was just arrested because the low-lifes that used to live next to her were losing their house and let other low-lifes across the street move into their house facing foreclosure. She was trying to take care of her yard and had the trees trimmed that were hanging over her property. Someone called code enforcement. Code enforecement came and got into a verbal confrontation with her because she was just exercising her rights put forth in the Cal Oaks Homeowners code. Code enforcement called the police who told her they were tired of messing with her. They literally threw her on the ground, cuffed her, and put her in their patrol car with the windows rolled up on a 100 degree day and left her there for 45 minutes. Mind you, this was a 60+ year old, tax paying citizen, not a low-life, good for nothing illegal. She has bruises to prove it. I could go on an on about how she was treated that day, but, I don't have the time. Think you can top that?

Police in Murrieta...are great! Almost the only time you hear a siren is when there is a fire; the police keep a firm but fair presence and keep our area free from graffiti and the associated dregs of society that can crop up. As far as them speeding to a 7-11, c'mon. Are you jealous? I am confident that the negative posters who find issue with our police are liberals. You expect customer service from folks who put their lives on the line. Get a real job

Stop bitching and file a complaint if you see something inappropriate.

Wish you could move: How'd you keep up with the officer if she was going so fast and running reds. The lights take forever to change on that stretch, no way you could have caught her if it was as described.

People always like to critique the police. Remember, they are from the human race and eat, sleep, and sometimes even need to use the restroom. If I see an oifficer in a hurry the last thing i do is follow them.

For a fact they used to race the new Chargers back and forth down Jefferson at 3 in the morning... yes they were actually drag racing each other from Ivy to Juniper... How do I know this?... my condo backs up to Jefferson and I went out one morning to see what all the commotion was about..... Made an entry in another blog about the city.... the racing stopped.

I was just searchng for a website to submit a complaint. There are some who are afraid of retaliation if the do complain. The absence of numerous postings does not mean the issues are few.

Depending on your situation, you can report your complaint to the California Attorney General for complaints about law enforcement and or the US Department of Justice. In my experience, filing a complaint with the Murrieta Police is fruitless, they protect their own!

I was one of eight people arrested on a conspiracy case. I represented myself at trial. and I was ACQUITTED of all charges. I proved at trial that Murrieta Police Detective Phil Gomez and Riverside County DA's Charles Lockwood and Brandon Smith lied on me. I am trying to gather information on these particular individuals to present to the Department of Justice in hopes of a Federal Prosecution of this and several other law enforcement officials. I was a totally innocent person held on a $1 million dollar bail which has now equated to a ransom considering Gomez effectually kidnapped me, by lying to get an arrest warrant, and continuing to lie during the 30 months I was illegally held, and beaten mercilessly by Sheriff's Deputies and other inmates at the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta.

If you have had a similar experience please email me your details. I believe that the more people that come forward the easier it will be to get the DOJ and FBI to take action and hold these Riverside County rogue cops, biased prosecutors and racist judges accountable for their conduct.

Please email me at [email protected]

Murrieta police are like all others; it's likely they will lie many times while serving in the capacity as a peace officer. It starts with human nature then is expanded by what they are taught and also learned behavior. It's a tough job and Murrieta is not high crime City. Bottom line, they get bored and the most innocent Crime excites them --thus-- book'em Dano.

everybody knows that "all cops" in this area, incl. banning/beaumont,especially murrieta/temecula are anal holes and think they are above the law, they all are walking pricks with the slit on top of thier heads to pee pee on you, thats why alot of them are bald, hair won't grow on a purple helmet.......

I live in the Murrieta area and Yes I know most of the stupid cops. They all think they have big balls and they like to stop you for nothing. If they see you riding a bike of just walking they stop you. I am disabled and I walk with a limp. I had a Pig stop me and put in the back. I had to prove I was was not drunk. He did let me go after he took me in. I mad the stupid Pig take me to where I was going. He told me No. I took a cab and I made the Pig to pay for it. Someone payed for the cab. I am still pissed off because I get stoped everytime I am in eather Murrieta of Temecula. It need to stop. Pigs go pick on the drunks.
