"I haven't investigated it at all," Johnson said. "But I'm sure there will be a different version of events once we get Mr. Bader's side of the story.... Once the facts are out, you'll see two different sides of the story, which is what lawsuits are all about."

Typical lawyer-speak for "as long as anyone, anywhere can say something other than what the first party has to say, us lawyers will have a job".

While I don't know anything about the case, I do know that now that lawyers lawyers are on the job, it is going to get expensive.

Shakespeare said it best "**** all the lawyers".

This is not about money. I used to work at this bar before I went to law school and Moose Country should have been sued years ago for the manner in which it treats its female employees.

The Attorney is another joke. She lies in waiting to bring forth a lawsuit against any one who will listen. GET A REAL JOB!!

Your harsh words are inappropriate. The woman are speaking out for many. I hope the proprietors do not lose their business but they must modify their behavior. Had they done so, well over 10 years ago, the law would never have had to been involved.
Some people must be forced to change and sometimes this is the only way.
The law is there to protect us all. The women are not asking for large monetary damages. To the average person this appears to be a large sum of money requested but in actuality, this is conservative and indicative of the women's intentions. They want these men brought to justice for their behavior.

Mike Bader and Joe Schaefer are individuals, not companies. Bader is an attorney, he should be well aware of the laws. By paying these women off, only shows their guilt, we all see and know that. Why can't anyone talk about it? Because, they are guilty. One more thing, Schaefer would never hire a personal injury attorney for these lawsuits. Get REAL! He had a top gun attorney didn't he? As if he couldn't afford the best. Only proves he is guilty and the woman who settled out of court, they actually wanted him behind bars! But we all know Schaefer has bigger fish to fry so he was forced to settle. Doesn't the county attorney's office have a criminal charge against schaefer that they are "considering" to bring forward? Bader and schaefer went to high school together! Long time buddies. The Brady Bunch!

If you were in the same position as these owners, and you were not guilty. And remember, back in 1994 he was sued successfully for sexual harassment. So, are you saying just because he lost that first battle, that he should just hand over money? NO that is not the case. He is guilty and for Bader to make the statement that "this is a ploy so he couldn't represent schaefer? What a JOKE! Bader doesn't have an outstanding law background. He actually works for his father-in-law. Can you imagine what that family is going through? It is not about money. It just so happens that money is the compensation.

On a personal note, an out of court settlement is a way to keep the truth from the public, it usually is followed by a gag order to get the settlement, so they can not speak of the wrong that was done to them. If I was accused of something I did not do, even if I had done it before, I would fight twice as hard, just so people would not assume guilt just because of the first guilty verdict. This is just me though, and only an opinion.
