Local health officials still cling to smoking ban duty

I've thought that all along, that if the state was made to do it they'd be forced to come up with a better way The Mercer County -Celina City Health Department could become the 14th health department out of 131 across the state of Ohio to quit enforcement of the no smoking ban if fiscal options aren't found. via The Daily Standard

Great this is a stupid LAW! This is an example of poorly thought out legisilation. A more realistic law would been as follows:

Have all bars, restaurants, and clubs be required to post large signs on the enterance door informing the public that the facility allows or prohibits smoking. Give the individual citizens back their rights to choose.

Another option:

Require all bars, restaurants, and clubs to install adequate smoke ventilators units to eliminate second hand smoke. At the same time, have the legisilators aggressively pursue the manufactures of these units to establish their manufacturing facilities here in Ohio or even Mercer County and create JOBS! This is a win/win stategy for EVERYONE !!!!

I agree with you. Its sad when Ohio falls victim to a pharmaceutical co owned foundation (RWJF) who funded the smoking ban and profits from the ban at the expense of private property business owners.

WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO BREATH IN YOUR SMOKE IF YOU HAVE A BABY OR KID AROUND WHICH YOU BETTER NOT BREATHING THE SMOKE ITS LIKE YOUR GIVEING A CIGRATTE TO THE BABY OR ANY OTHER POOR PERSON AROUND YOU SO QUIT THINKING OF YOUR SELF AND THINK OF THE PEOPLE AND CHILDREN AROUND BREATHING THAT DAM SMOKE NOT EVERY BUMBASS WANTS TO RUN THE RISK OF CANCER UNLIKE YOUR SELF SO SMOKE AT HOME NOBODY THAT DOESNT SMOKE DESERVES TO BREATH IN YOUR SMOKE
