It says he is in critical condition, not that he died.

i drove by right around 6:30 and saw a person face down on the side of the road. an officer was kneeling on the ground and examining the person. there were two cars pulled over on the side of the road, no sign of a truck. could be a hit and run situation. the situation did not look good. i hope the person is ok.

It's a shame someone else was hit by a car. I hope the driver is held accountable. Its not enough to say "I didn't see them". I hit a parked car before and got treated like felon. I've never hit a person.

Your not putting a good case forward to defend your carelessness. A car is slightly bigger than the human body and has lots of reflective things on it.

The bottom line is that most drivers now are neglegent to watching where they are going. just this summer i was hit on my motorcycle not 200 yards from that intersection and put into the hospital because the driver "didnt see me" the driver should be held accountable for his neglegence

Leroy, your a RACIST PIG, just SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!!!!!!!!!
Red, just ignore the moron. I know it's hard sometimes, but don't bother with these idiots. The more attention we give them, the bolder they get. I can understand your anger here though.

Accountable for what? Police say no alcohol or speed. The truck didnt go up onto a sidewalk and hit him. There was no sidewalk there, just a shoulder. Those are the risks of walking on the unlit county roads. Unfortunately these kids were most likely walking 3 abreast and he was the one closest to oncoming traffic walking on the line.(and wearing DARK clothing).
If it were today, it'd been 5:30 and still enough daylight.
It's too bad for this kid and his family. It's also a serious and deadly lesson learned for his 2 friends with him about the dangers of walking at night next to a road with no sidewalk or street lights in dark clothing.

I'm not saying it happened in this incident, but I've seen way too many kids who purposely try to walk as close to traffic as possible on purpose in somw twisted form of chicken to be cool for the buddies they're with. Then they do the fake jump out or flinch to freak the driver out.
Wasnt there an incident little more than a month ago in the area where a teen was walking in a group and horseplay was going on according to witnesses and a kid got shoved into traffic and killed? Kids think they are immune to danger and death, their brains haven't developed enough to process consequences for impulsive actions or to determine judgement and risk. That's why there are so many teen car accidents when turning into oncoming traffic, they can't calculate fast enough speed, distance and risk.

This is certainly a tragic accident. The response on the blogs are inappropiate to say the least. Shows what kind of character MOST of you have, be it in the city or the burbs.Condolences to the families involved should be what this is all about. STOP BEING SUCH MORONS>

There is a section of Leigh Station where people must walk in the street because the homeowner (bless his evil heart-I used to curse him every day) refuses to allow the sidewalk to encroach upon his property. He has also erected giant shrubs to make sure you are forced into the street while walking to the high school. You either walk in the street, or cross LS and then recross back (no stop sign, or light) across the busy part of LS to get into the high school. If this happened in front of his property I hope the mean old varmit rots in helifax.

ShittyRes, you still don't know the difference between then and than? Your 2nd sentance is incomplete and confusing.(Product of NOT attending enough City schools)
Remember all those city kids who were killed in the city this summer? Adult lady on St.Paul by County Services last yr? Last count, there were over 7 shootings in the city in the last 3 nights.
Shootings are not all killings.

Daily Horoscope for December 7

Aquarius

You're full of energy and determination right now, especially when it comes to nailing an ambition or making a name for yourself. You'll want to give it your best shot, and you'll get very annoyed if you feel your efforts are being frustrated by others. Watch out for a rather tense atmosphere with someone older or more influential than you, as this could lead to a row.
