Social Security is in Trouble and has been, Has Congress Fixed it, NO

Our Borders are not secure, we were supposed to secure them and build a Fence, Have we, only small sections as Congress has not allocated further money for them so the answer here is NO!

Does the Government run any program that actually works and does not have massive failures or overspending, again we have the answer NO! Now they want to run our Health care, They want to Tax those who have Health care through their employers as Income, they want to Fine those who find it Too Costly to carry Health Insurance so they will need to cough up fines plus the Insurance money which will now cost them MORE Money than what was too expensive in the first place.

Looking at the problems Germany, England and even closer to home Canada has with their Socialized medicine, the answer is Clear to the government Running it and that is NO!

So deny them health care and just let them die. After all they deserve it, they're the ones that are looking for a better life for their families and their children, how dare they. Don't they realise that after our ancestors landed there was no more room? Don't they realise we "Christians" have no use for them. Even though they can be exploited by farmers and we pay less for our food because of this exploitation, I don't personally benifit financially so off with their heads!!

Two native Americans stand on the shore watching Cristopher Columbus land. One turns to the other and says "that's our problem, we have no immigration laws!"

Anger can not be the basis of our decisions about the future of our country. If this crap continues, only our children will pay (at least here on earth.)

Sorry for the off topic rant. I can't help myself when I read some of the selfish, ignorant posts in this forum. They just piss me off sometimes.

Create a health care system based on the single payer system run by the feds. BUT, you must either do the following for life time enrollment:

2 years military service
5 years active volunteer firefighter or ems, police volunteer
7 years active volunteer service schools, hospitals, neighborhood watch

heavy, heavy education on preventive care and personal health responsibilities.

I am not opposed totally, but we have to slow down. We do not need to solve everything in 6 months. I think the problem is all the bail out bills and tarp and then this. It's too much, too soon. We just throw $ at problems.

Why can't people use medicare and medicaide. What about New York Child Health plus?

How about this, if the stimulus really will create jobs (lol...) then we wil not have a problem as people will be working and get health care thru their employers (well obviously they do not think stimulus will work to create jobs then...).

Why aren't those not covered using medicare and medicaide? Oh that's right the government runs those too. Great job on those prgrams (ha)!

I think the government could bring down costs by requiring all current plans to pay for health care memberships and other preventative measures. When I had foot pain, they would pay for surgey but not for an orthotic that would cure the pain. I bought my own orthotic and the pain is gone without surgery or cortisone injections.

Also I think that all the adds on TV for medicine should be stopped. They make everyone believe that everything can be solved by popping a pill. The more pills we take the more liver damage and other internal organs are damaged over time. Medicine has it's place but I think it is way overused. Guess popping pills is great for the surgeons that will need to perform liver surgery later!!!

Increase the frequency of physicals required and make insurance pay for them. The sooner you catch a problem the more likely it can be treated without major cost.

So you see, I think there are many things we can try without re-vamping everything in a few months. Not sure why ideas like the above cannot be applied to medicare and medicaide so bring down costs and get more people enrolled in those programs.

Makes me wonder what the real intent is. To help us, or to control us?????

I will vote no for Massa, and any other incumbent in the upcoming election(s). They are all self centered and concern themselves with bringing home the bacon (to their personal coffers) rather than doing what the were elected to do.

"Congressman Massa asys if he had to vote on the health care bill right now -- he'd probably vote no."

Now that is a very strong statement, huh? They are all looooosers!

They say 50% are for free or universal health care. Little do people realize that those 50% are on a free ride anyway. Lazy fat folks. Lose some weight please. Anyone over weight should not be allow coverage.

Obama is down to a 47.8 approve and 41.8 DISAPPROVE among independents on RCP.

You remember the independents, right?

THEY’RE the ones who got the democrats their majorities and Obama elected.

Congratulations democrats, you’ve managed to completely p*ss them off.

And one of the cheerleaders for government health care, Paul Krugman, GOT himself b*tchslapped in a public forum.

For all you wingnuts out there touting the Canadian health care system...pay attention:

From a debate sponsored by Intelligence Squared US, Krugman got himself humiliated by audience members.

PAUL KRUGMAN
—and I wanted to ask, actually two questions, to the audience. First, how many Canadians, would Canadians in the room please raise your hands.[ONE PERSON APPLAUDS, LAUGHTER]

JOHN DONVAN
We have about seven hands going up—

PAUL KRUGMAN
Okay, not as many as I thought. Okay, of those of you who are not on the panel who are Canadians,, how many of you think you have a terrible health care system.[PAUSE] One, two—

JOHN DONVAN
We see—almost all of the same hands going up.[LAUGHTER]

PAUL KRUGMAN
Bad move on my part.[APPLAUSE]

Yea, see?

CANDIANS don’t like their health care system. Who do I contact to turn in the DEMOCRATS spreading misinformation about the Canadian system, hmmmm?

Wonder why you don’t see the media playing THIS video, huh?

Ask your idiot democrat representative, WHY they WONT' fix what we already have FIRST.

Ask them that question.

Fix medicare and medicaid FIRST. PROVE that the government can do ANYTHING efficiently.

THEN you can pontificate on taking over 17% of our economy.

Because you imbeciles JUST paid DOUBLE the RETAIL price for a phoecking ham. and we're supposed to believe you can manage health care BETTER and CHEAPER?

Gimmeabreak.

Tell your idiot democrats reps to PROVE it first. FIX what we already HAVE.

Until then, shove it.

We don't want what you're selling.

Its pathetic to see and hear how narrassistic the right is.

The fact that the people responsible for these outbursts won't let a real dialogue take place shows who the real communists are.

Congress spent it on their pet projects. Its what theyve done with all the money. Now Nancy needs a new jet...lol Can you imagine when government actually manages to make it mandatory that they can simply take what they need out of your bank account and its against the law to not keep all your money there. Jeeesh!!! I can see this comming at this point. I would say I hope I dont give them any ideas....but Im so sure theyve already been planning it.
