Slow the heck down people and get off your damn cell phone! And to the girls parents, why weren't you watching her cross the street, what was so important that you were'nt making sure she crossed the road safely. Common sense people...

Please get all the facts first before making any judgement. The girl was a 7th grader very capable of crossing the street on her own! Don't assume the driver was on the phone! Just pray the young lady will have a full recovery!!

Guys, First off I know the girl, her brother and family. It was not the girls fault. The driver of the car was driving too fast. The girl was fully capable of looking both ways. She was with her 14 year old brother who was no more than a foot away from her. None of you know the real story or the details - Most of the news stations got it wrong.

Maybe if news 10 had better reporters we'd be able to "Get all the facts straight." By saying get off the phone, that was a figurative statement, since that seems to be the norm nowadays. If her 14 year old brother was responsible for her at that time than why wasn't he paying attention to what his sister was doing? She may have been "fully capable" of looking both ways, her brother should've been paying attention as well. Yes, the car needed to slow the heck down regardless if the idiot was on their cell or not common sense would've told them that if they had any, you always exercise caution when you have pedestrians especially children around the roadway. Even though they are not our responsibility in the long run, it is still our job to be a responsible driver in society. Yes of course I hope the little one is okay that's what's important. If you want us to have the FACTS then give us the FACTS...thank you!
