Unfortunately, you are mistaken. I was offerd this when I came back. But the amount is $1000 (one thousand dollars), not $10K. They aren't real forthcoming with the information. But, a friend of mine got this and told me about it.

I get a kick out of this. These people absolutly deserve this money more than anyone, wether you agree with the war or not they went and risked their lives for our country. Now you have these ultra liberal idiots saying they didn't authorize their money to go to these people. Well isn't that funny these are the ones who support giving to welfare and every other undeserving members of society but when it comes time to give to people who deserve it, it's a problem for these morons.

I would guess what is wrong is that you think that you have to authorize where your tax dollars go...that is why we have elected officials. If you have a problem with it, send them a message or call. Maybe you can influence where the dollars go, but rest assured, your authorization or endorsment mean little.

Hey Bill, while you didn't authorize the money out of your taxes, I just checked. They said they took it only out of the taxes of people who value the protection the soldiers give us. They didn't touch your money. so now you can sleep at night. I know someone who did two tours over there who lived in MA and got stationed in GA and found out that the money promised here for him and his wife and family, dropped when they made GA his location and they had a hard time making it financially with her living in MA on GA wages. Now he is back in MA and no one is giving him 1000 and he could use it. I tried telling his wife that they were lying when he signed up and promised him the world and never delivered it, but hey people don't listen. I feel 1000 is more than worth it for what they go through.

I take exception to your ignorant comment. I happen to know from being in Iraq until very recently and watching my friends die while wondering when my turn is that you are wrong. We are over there fighting for Democracy and the AMERICAN way. Unfortunately, the very unpatriotic Obama will end that before we are done and will send our troops home in defeat and will cause us to have to go back. This will also cause those deaths to be in vain but, I guess that is the way the Obama Administration would want it to be just in the name of trying to make the previous Administration look bad. In the past 7 years, we have been safe in America thanks to GWB. Just wait until Obama is in office and see how long this lasts after that. We are in deep shite. Like it or not. Hope is not a strategy, unfortunately, a majority of Americans are unaware of that fact and voted for the liar that promised the most undeliverables based solely on hope for change, change that isn't going to happen. Thanks but, no thanks to the Clinton, I mean Obama Administration.

You can sit back in your comfortable home and critique why you think that we are in Iraq. You are clueless and have no idea. All that you know is what the government lets the media have and what the media waters down for you to see out of that.

I believe they are over there because of the over 6000 people who were killed during 9-11, People who were killed for simply being american and believeing in the American way. that is why they are over there so we all can sit here with our families and enjoy our holidays with our beliefs. I am not alone in being etetnily grateful for them being thousands of miles away from their families during this holiday season and for everyone one else who has been over there and had the oppurtunity to come home.

THANK YOU!
