if you wanted to shood him cause you were scared of him y not shoot him in the knee or foot have him drop to the ground to take the weapons away from him? because some grown men or wanna b good cops were scared of a boy, that led to a kid being killed. oh, but wait, im going to bet ne thing that they ( the good cops lol yeah right) wont be charged with anything. real messed up

When an officer fires his weapon at anytime he has to account for it. I know I am a member of the posse in Henderson County Texas. I am also a Mother of 13 children and 32 grandchildren. You only have so many seconds to react when you ar efaced with this situation and unfortuntly the young man died. All we can do is pray for the Family of the young man and the officers that fired the fatal shots. God is the judge not us. Next time when oyu are faced with someone breaking into your home or trying to rape your daughter who are you going to call? Or your are being robbed at gun point, think about it people how would you react!!!

Those of you complaining about the way this was handled obviously have NO IDEA what it is like to be a police officer - sworn with protecting the citizens of Mena and with upholding the law - or what it is like to carry the burden of responsibility for both handling the law or for taking someone's life.

You all sit there and judge but have no real, rational clue about what goes into making a decision like that. What if it had been your wife or child that was being threatened or attacked with an axe? What if it had been you? Your mother?

The posts here are sheer buffoonery of the highest order.

Are you pathetic liberal losers stii in attempt to advocate this wack job and villify the police for simply doing their job and protecting their lives and lives of public by offing this twit? Every new day is an awakening to me that you liberal skanks truly can advance to an even more serious disease of self... All i know is that there is yet one more useless hatchet carrying liberal freak in the obituaries and that makes me smile.:)

<quoted text>First off~this was no BOY! Even if it was, BOYS are charged with MURDER all the time! What about the officers' family's? I think if this "boys" family really gave hoot about him, they would have recognized his problem, and gotten him some mental help long before this incident.
1st of all if you did not know Chris or my family you have no right to say his family did not care for him. We all loved & cared for him deeply. As far as the mental issue goes hopely you will never know what someone w/ issues lives like. If someone has mental issues no matter how old their in a different state of mind as their age. You need not talk about things you don't know anything about or what you might think you know!

It is quite obvious that many of you never attended the school of common sense! Im betting the average IQ for those people who commented before my 2 posts is 50. These cops did what they had to do, which was the right thing, to protect you, the public, and themselves. Im guessing those that say otherwise have had their own run ins with the law and are just upset that they are criminals.
As you have probably guessed~these people are not intersted in FACTS! It IS nice to read a comment by someone with some intelligence! I am sensing that most of the people on this forum ARE criminals, and they need to GET A JOB!!

First off, how do you know that I DIDN'T know him??? You forget how small this town is! Don't blame faceless people on the Mena forum because the family didn't lock this freak up BEFORE he went to the PD trying to kill people!! And, by the way, I am ALL TOO FAMILIAR with mental illness. You, ALSO, know nothing about me, so you haven't the right to say that I "don't know" ~ but, that's the BEAUTY of the forum, isn't it?? We don't have ANY IDEA who we are speaking with.
