Come on Babyblu123! READ the frick'n article! It clearly states that the boy admitted to a two year affair.

I believe when you question Ms Zinkus, she will tell you she was saving the city of Cordova some educational money as she was home schooling the boy.(this is not a quote from Ms Zinkus)

The boy's mother was on TV last night, was she not?

It was obvious from her fake demeanor that she had it out for this lady. If she cared so much about her son, why did she choose to show her face on TV?!?

Grandstanding for the cameras. Your 5 seconds are over lady, go back to ignoring your son's life again until you can find another way to make the papers.

okay this is terrible but does the system treat women different than men? She should forever be registered as a sex offender as well as jail time.

Lucky Kid considering Emily Zinkus is formerly a citizen of the United Kingdom I think you ought to listen to what the United Kingdom's Child Exploitation & Online Protection Center (CEOP) think abuse the sexual exploitation of adolescent males by adult women:-

Detective Superintendent Graham Hill, head of the Behavioural Analysis Unit at The Child Exploitation & Online Protection Centre (CEOP) in the United Kingdom talks about the social stigma faced by victims who are sexually abused by women particularly young & adolescent boys.

So, it's ok to have sex with a teenager if they comply? Just probation? Lock up your daughters, lock uo your wives...

The men on To Catch a Predator are given about 5 years in jail. Double Standard? They should do away with statutory rape law if it consensual.

If Emily Zinkus had committed this in her home country of the United Kingdom she would have been jailed just like this woman:-

double standard......"YES"!
When I was 13, I had sex with a teacher for 4 years until I left high school. She was 'caught'(only by her own admission to her husband) and she was fired from her job, but no arrest/public plea for mercy or record was ever attached to her name. She has since divorced and slept with several other minors from what I was told. For me, it was a great experience because its different when its consensual, and of course, the double standard carries over into ("boys are studs & girls are sluts" - when they sleep around). I look back, some 10 years later, and realize completely what she did with me was wrong, and if she were to go after my son the way she did me..........she would be in a dumpster more than likely looking for something.

Ive traveled throughout Europe and Asia and its common place (albeit illegal, but not as discouraged as it is here in the United States of the Offended).
That teen will forever look back on his time with this lady as an experience that will make him grin. Did he lose his innonence?.......maybe, or was he already plucked and he was searching for something and he was lucky enough to find someone that didnt go further than a 'quickie'(she could have turned the webcam on and sold his video's/introduced someone else into the home to .........) Can someone rebound from a sexual experience with an adult? I like to think that I did. I don't have dreams of bedding some high school girl or using my authority over people to gain sexual favors. When it comes down to it, there are things that are TABOO, some things that are morally wrong and some that are illegal. Those events sometimes overlap each other, but when it comes down to it, we must punish all the same and she should be sharing a cell with other pedophiles. I'm not sorry for what happened with me and my 'teacher', and I would bet my next paycheck the young man in this story is only thinking about how it sucks that it's over.

signed........"plucked, but not sorry about it"

Why is it when women commit statutory rape, all is forgiven, but when a man does it, all hell has broken loose? This is like the case of the 25yo church musician and the 16yo choir member. She invited him in and he was booked on a large bond and will possibly face a big jail sentence and it's reported this has been ongoing since February. The girls mom is trying to sue all she can for a consenting daughter.
This young man may not have started out consenting but for over 2 years he's been going to her home, so that makes for mutual consent to me.
With either case, there were adults taking advantage of children. Either way, the adults should be disciplined the same. Also is the child is above 15, they should hold some legal responsibility as well. They are now old enough to know the difference in right and wrong, and I'm stretching the age. Children know better know very early, even about sex.
A damn shame

So if you have Consensual sex with a minor you can get your case dismissed and record expunged??? Hmm, let's reverse the situation...31 year old man and 17 year old girl...think the situation might be different? OF COURSE SO. THE SYSTEM IS GUTTER TRASH.

lawandorder. How can you do away with do away with the statutory rape law if the minor is UNDER the age of consent and therefore not old enough to consent you idiot? The kid was 15 and therefore, by law, it cannot be considered "consensual".

What Is Statutory Rape?

Statutory rape is illegal sexual activity between two people when it would otherwise be legal if not for their age

In accordance with the FBI definition, statutory rape is characterized as "non-forcible" sexual intercourse with a person who is younger than the statutory age of consent. The actual ages for these laws vary greatly from state-to-state, as do the punishments for offenders.

Let me see now, Older Lady has sexual relaionship with underage boy.
3 days in jail, years probation. No sex offender rgistory (where we
get statistics to prove Men are the primary offenders). All is expunged from her record. Could get more jobs working with teens.
I believe its time we start examining the statistics more closely, their source, who is exempt, and the use of pre-trial diversion before we take the statistics in domestic violence, rape, and sex-offender cases seriously. Its time to turn this system that almost promotes such injustice to one that truly protects the person and not just the class they are in (black.. white.. female.. male.. homosexual.. etc) And as far as what we know know are totally false statistics, protect our tax dollars from supporting systems that benifit from such obviously incorect statistics..(planned parenthood, YWCA... etc.

Lets demand equal protection for our sons, and for our community.

Lets not tear down what has been done to protect women who are victims, simply support equal treatement of males in this situation, and refuse to help organizations that are sexist or racist is their willingness to help.

No Studmonkey it is more than just a "double standard". It is both the societal & judicial DENIAL of the female sexual predator and the DENIAL of their sexually exploited victims. I, as a British citizen, have watched in complete and utter disgust how American society consistently views the sexual exploitation of male minors by women as a victimless crime.

Well I knew that our music had made it across the big waters, but I am really surprised that our news worthy little story was becoming this big. Hey, I'm not agreeing that she should get off with this little slap. I really think she should have had to went all the way to trial and face the same rules & laws that any other person would have faced. Being a "Teacher" over here carries a lot of weight. When it shouldn't. I've never thought an educated person is any better than the average joe on the street. Whats that old saying... Those that can, Do... Those that can't, Teach.... Lot of truth in "dat thar" statment

actually, i hope she gets away with it and commits a truly terrible offense next time. it will be like the 'democrat' that shot all those cops in washington. he was caught and released several times until he finally finished what he set out to do. then the awareness level is raised. so, miss young pecker checker, please keep up the good work giving sex-ed to the teens, then maybe someone will wake up and do something about it!
