Why won t you adress the real problem yjat the Vet is on contract from the city and the employess are civil servant employess that can t easly be terminated . This was confirmed by janet Hooks and the Mayors represenative at the last board meeting of tyhe MAS These employess are from the previous administration and were there when raided NOTHING HAS CHANGED AS FAR AS THIS IS THE MAIN PROBLEM NO ONR WILL ADDRESS OR BRING TO THE PUBLICS ATTENTION, Come on if ypour truly concerned anout this killing field (Dachu of Shelters) No one has the guts or time to address the real problem

Why is it you do not follow up on stories. The shooting at the motorcycle club house. No followup story even though there have been multiple arrest and one man cleared on justifiable homicide. The truth would be nice instead of leaving the stigma on the club.

I'm not sure where to put this but on a recent trip down the toy aisles at Target I saw the worst excuse for a doll ever. Mattel has put out a new line of Barbie dolls that are VERY inappropiate for children. I believ the tagline is called " It All Starts With A Little Black Dress". Parents should be outrage to think that Mattel's corporation would approve such dolls. One of the dolls has on a deep v-neck type dress/shirt that CLEARLY has toooooo much cleavage showing. The dresses on all of them are too short but that doll took the cake. What kind of message are they trying to send? Clearly someone didn't think this all the way through. I have spoken with many parents and all of them are on the same page that this line of dolls is simply unacceptable! I would love to know what Mattel and Target were thinking when they said "Great doll for 4 year olds!"

I called your news desk at 7:30 am of BREAKING NEWS of a fire on Tipton Road and Rogers in Atoka that had 5 deaths. I was told that our dispatchers usually will not give out information, so does that mean the story is not worth looking into! I feel that your station is more interested in south Mississippi news than to the people in Tipton county. It has been 2 hours and still nothing on the news about this fire, but you have run the 2 alarm fire story with no injuries at every segment..Guess we know what the station thinks of the people and events of Tipton county. I have been a loyal viewer of your station for over 40 years, but that is changing. At least Channel 5 ran a ribbon across the screen of the breaking news.

I heard that you ran a story about a set of 98-year-old twins from France who are thought to be the oldest living twins. When I Googled it and found this story, I saw that their birthday is in September. As it happens, my grandmother and her twin brother celebrated their 98th birthday on August 23, 2010. They are Frances Bruce of Alamo, TN and Frank Colvett of Princeton, WV.

I don't know whether "Uncle Frank" would be interested in any media attention since his health is poor, but his son and grandson in Memphis may be available if you were to contact them. They are Frank "Sonny" Colvett and Frank Harmon Jr. Colvett respectively.

The Crockett Times ran a story about the twins' birthday last month, I believe. They talk on the phone at least once a week and try to visit on their birthday every year.

Anyway, we thought it might be interesting to highlight some Tennessean twins and of course it's always fun to outdo the French.:)

If 40,000 people leased a trash can in Memphis at 5.00 dollars a month that would be 200.000 dollar momth and 2,400,000 a year. I want to know where this money is going. The poeple that run our town must think we can't do simple math. we the peple have a right to know where this money is being spent. I can't not help but feel Memphians are taking it in the rear again. How do we stop this unnecessary spending?

hello, while my daughter and i were watching television last night; she was sitting in the recliner and i was on the sofa. at approximately 8:16 p.m., we both felt a trimmer; and again at approximately 8:17 p.m. i was wandering if anything had been reported, if there was something registered on the sizemic (is that spelled correctly?) scale, or if we both felt what we thought was a trimmer at the same time wasnt anything at all? should the citizens along the new madrid fault line be more concerned now than a few yrs ago? has there been any recent activity reported at the new madrid fault line?
thank you..

On the 6 pm news Regina Carson Newman was complaining about election irregularities in the last early voting. She said that the Shiloh Baptist Church location didn't open on time. That is a false statement. I was an official at Shiloh and we most certainly opened on time EVERY day of the early voting period.
