I too, miss Bonnie, Henry and Ursula. The station is no where near as professional as it used to be. I haven't seen Terrance in nearly two weeks. Last week, they said he "had the day off". Again this week they have the younger girls on there. The news girl and the weather girl (don't know their names, cause I don't like watching them0. Guess it's time to change stations. I only watched because of the 4 I listed. They made the show interesting. The only one left worth watching is Mark Walden (weather). I usually turn on the TV at 9:00 or 10:00 and just watch the first few minutes to see what is happening, but lately it's all been old news. Same old stuff over and over. Ranting, I know, but I miss them.

I really enjoy watching Bonnie and Terrance, I guess Terrence is comming to the end of the road. Well to the new mangement this is not As The World Turn, when you have work around people for years, they become family. Remember Bonnie, Usala, and Henry God have the last say so.

Please, please, please put Terrance Bates back on the early morning news. I can't stand the sound of April Norris' voice that early in the morning. It's like having someone run their fingernails down a chalkboard!!!

Haven't watched regularly since you left. Only one newscaster is boring. You were always so cheery.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for your support. I was fired from ABC 24 in August. New management at the station told me they wanted to take the show in a new direction. The station would not waive my non-compete clause, so I cannot work at another station for some time. Instead I have taken a job as a Press Secretary for Bill Gibbons gubernatorial campaign. Wish me luck!
Good luck Bonny!

That just proves that Andy Wise isn't the sleuth investigative reporter that he is touted to be. A non-compete clause will not hold up in court in the state of Tennessee. I have personally seen cases like these thrown out of court. Sure they can try and tie you up in red tape, but it won't stick. In Andy's case, I'm glad he thought he had to stay off the air for a year. I just wish it would have been longer. His fluff journalism is sickening. I think it is great that he is reduced to such slow news day fillers like "Restaurant Score Card".

I know this is an old thread, but I must say, I haven't watched since they moved Terrance. I really miss Bonny, too. They were truly a team. You guys should shop your own show.
Oh, and April's voice is HORRIBLE!

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh i soooooooooooo agree! I dislike April Norris. I see Terrance sometimes downtown doing a news report and when he's off camera I told him that I missed him in the mornings. Please come back. After I emailed him he told me this..

Thanks for the noteÖ I appreciate your thoughts. Feel free to air your concerns with our News Director. His name is Peter Jacobus. You can reach him at [email protected]

Thanks again for thinking about me and your support. Hopefully, Iíll return to the position, but either way, KNOW, that Iíll always be working to make our newscasts as enjoyable and informative as possible..

Ive been blowing his email away since then. Begging for Terrance back!

Bonny you are very much missed in our household. Loved your beautiful smile. Someone gave you advice regarding your contract, check into it, I want you back reporting the news somewhere. It's a shame, employers don't know good help when they have it, or what makes the viewers happy.
Enjoy your new job!

The person responsible for Bonny's departure is the GM. She was over heard saying that she was going to fire EVERYONE from the "old regime", meaning people she didn't hire. This person had so many fearing for their jobs, one guy (a 38 year old) had a STROKE just before Christmas. Over 40 people have been fired, just because power corrupts. Oh yea, do you think this young man that had a STROKE had a job when he was ready to return to work a month later? NOPE. What comes around go's around Mrs. Laspineless.

TN is a right-to-work state. I'm no lawyer but I hope you ask one about the validity of a non-compete clause for a person who is terminated.

Good luck. Miss you!

I saw Bonny last night and went nuts!! She is awesome! When I get up in the mornings and the channel is left on ABC from the night before, I immediately change it. April's voice is a wretched way to wake up, sorry, but true. I've worked in broadcasting and wondered how she got a job doing news-it's just so flat. I still miss the chemistry from the early morning ABC crew. They were charming! WREG, you have a new loyal viewer. Thank you for picking her up. You did yourself a real favor with this one!

I saw Bonny on WREG also and now WREG is the only Memphis news I will watch. I haven't seen her for the last week,I hope she is still there. I have been a fan of hers ever since I saw her the first time.
