100 Years Massapequa Fire Department Why was ?

I'm glad I wake up everynight for bullshit calls and go on rescue calls. Do me a favor, if you ever need us in Mass, and your one of the people who don't understand firefighting and rescue, please let one of the members who woke up to rescue your family or friends know that you feel this way.

The most horrible thing you should be ashamed of is, even if you tell them you despise everything the department does, they will still help you, and believe me, you dont deserve it.

"Free College, Free Insurance, perks of Free hall rental at mosy over the top fire houses. They also go on a 1 week paid vacation and they are nice places like Cancun and Bermuda

I am looking to change Depts as we do not get the perks listed above.

While we do get a property tax reducton I am not sure how much but no were near 35% and also do get a small pension depending on years of service and age. The only insurance we get is VFBL which is like workmens comp and only pays if you are injured in the line of duty.

Most members did not join for benefits they joined to be part of a comunity that helps the comunity. Granted some do not know how to behave but please do not paint the entire fire service with the same brush based on a few imature drunken members

well i disagree with this because my dad is a volly with massapequa not all of the volunteers were drunk
