The people who began and continue to propose this stupid idea of voting out each and every incumbant are the same ones who think that people like Piggy Paladino, the witch from Delaware and the quitter from Alaska are good choices for political office.

They're a little confused!!

No way the quitter from Alaska for any political office in our country. Anyway, she and this Paladino are in the same class. Lots of talk and makes them what they are, not material for any polical office. Coumo best choice for NYS Governor. If he doesn't do well, next election vote him out.

The "vote out all incumbants" theory might just be the dumbest idea that I've ever heard.
let me get this straight; you want to blindly remove all incumbants from office, for no other reason than the fact that they currently hold the job? Have you ever considered the possibility that the guy you're putting into the job is an idiot? Do yo even have a reason for replacing the incumbant? Are you that dumb?
What if your boss walked into your office tommorrow and fired you becuase the guy six cubicles over wasn't doing his job?
the incumbants have done such a GREAT JOB huh??? NOT. They had their chance. Time for a CHANGE!!!!!

I agree, lets get all those lazy bastards out of there! Let everyone in NY repave their own roads, fix their own bridges, keep their elderly and crazy and retarded relatives at home instead of dumping them into state systems, form a local posse instead of state troopers, do their own monitering of the local environment and keep poachers out of the woods... and all the other things that public employees do. I vote we head back to 1900 and get past silly regulations on child labor or workplace safety and leave those unfortunate enough to be poor or old or sick to fend for themselves. I didn't make them old, I didn't make them sick, I didn't make them retarded, why the hell should I have to pay anything to provide for them? If they want people to take care of them then they better have some money to pay for the care. Damn freeloaders are as bad as the state workers that get paid to help them and sponge of us hard working folk!
Must be one of the lazy stateworkers otherwise you would not have taken offense. Are you one of the ones that sits and plays games on your computer or takes a nap at the desk? I'm thinking so.

Well I like to do both but they don't give me a desk to sleep on or a computer to play games on. Yep I'm a state worker, yep there are lazy ones, just like at any other job. there are workers who do just enough and look just busy enough to keep their jobs in every corner of the public and private sectors.

I didn't take any offense cause I know I work hard and I do my best to save the taxpayers money doing my work in the ways that I can. Ive worked in both private and public sectors, in for profit and not for profit and I could point out lazy people in every place I've worked, actually more in the for profit places that I've worked when it comes down to it, you know the places that charge more to consumers when their employees don't work efficiently enough and hurt the bottom line. the costs just get passed on and the lazy somehow keep their jobs, gotta love the almight private sector for that too I suppose.

At any rate I won't take the derogatory comments personally and when I'm at work again will still do my best to save you and every other taxpayer in the state money even though there are many out there that denigrate the work I and others do but wouldn't have any ideas themselve about how it should get done otherwise. Not all functions of society work under market principles, since not all necessary funtions of society can achieve a profit and still be done correctly, take caring for the sick for instance, unless you think leaving them with soul crushing debt they can never pay until they pass on and leave it to their families is the way society should treat its members. If you do, well then I guess we speak different languages and since I never was much of one for picking up foriegn tongues we can leave it at that.

cheers

DiNapoli is part of the problem, not part of the solution. He is the ultimate Albany insider who won't make any changes or bring new thinking to the problem. He will bring the same old tired solutions and he is beholden to the same old tired special interests, particularly the public unions. We need someone with fresh ideas who is not beholden to the New York special interests. That is Harry Wilson.

If you think a Wall Street Banker gives two shits about the little guy-someone he would never be able to relate to after selling his soul in the name of money(and yes, thats what Wall Street bankers do)- then you deserve to be screwed over by him, right along with the rest of us. You go ahead and vote for Wilson, and if he wins, I think you'll be tragically surprised at just how naive and illogical your grand perception of him ended up being. Trust me, a Wall Street banker DOES NOT care about how his actions effect members of the working class- he already has more money than God. His retirement and health benefits are set for life. Yeah- is that really a guy who can relate to the average New Yorker?

well things aren't working out too well for that guy in the White House who was a community organizer with only 143 days experience in the Senate, a roster full of anti-American friends and only 1 executive project (which failed) in his resume.

I would rather have a man who has money in that position that some career politician looking to make himself and his buddies rich. If you need samples of Democrats using their positions to make themselves rich in NY State, then you just are not paying attention. We can start with Charlie Rangel and work our way down.

Wilson comes from a middle class background, not some rich family. He is a self made man, give me that any day of the week over some career politician that has never worked outside of the insider world DiNapoli has been living in.
