maybe because they're innocent until proven guilty. Unless of course they're tried here in the court of the newsday forum.

Actually, Nassau County Jail is in East Meadow on Carmen Avenue. The jail referenced in the article might be just a temporary hold cell.

Our heart goes out to Michael and the Nicosia family. We are praying for his speedy recovery.

A word of advice to the Nicosia family get a good personal injury lawyer.

Any lawyer except Kenneth Mollins. Ken Mollins is only interested in making headlines and furthering his ego and law practice. Mollins is amoral, sadistic and will cause you unnecessary strife and disappointment. He could blow any case you might have entirely.

Don't be fooled by his associates either, they follow his orders. We only wished someone would have warned us!

Best wishes for Michael's recovery!

Start educating the restaurants and bars to be responisible in serving drinks to drivers. I have witnessed one man sitting at a bar in a restaurant who had at least 4 beers while I was sitting there at lunch time. I'm sure he was going to drive when he left as he was alone. I frequently an offered second drinks at restaurants without concern that more than one glass of wine might impair my driving.

We should line up all the drunken drivers and shoot them in the face.

I just knew the kid had no lights and wore dark clothes. I hope he fully recovers and learns to be more careful. As for the driver, shame shame shame. That ugly thing should stay at home and drink.

The N.Y.S. liquor Auth. has a training program in place for Bar servers. But people ignore the printed warning on over the counter medicines and mix em up and then here is your deadly cocktail. You know you cant fix stupid.

I am praying for Michael and his family.

They need to move drunk driving up to molester status. Make EVERYONE convicted of drunk driving have a red license plate and post their picture in the local papers. There needs to be a better deterrent and apparently killing someone isn't enough of one. I am shocked that the story of the poor Griffin family (accident in Toledo this weekend) didn't make front page news everywhere as a lesson of the horrors of this problem.

Just say NO! Are you kidding me? If you are old enough to drink, you should be old enough to know when enough is enough. This is as stupid as people blaming fast food establishments for making them fat. Everything is always someone else's fault.

Lets all hope for a speedy recovery for this young man..and once again pray that law enforcement officials hear our pleas for stricter and more prolific enforcement of the motor vehicle laws. I am sure some of you will agree that LI's roads are Dodge City unless there is some threat of law enforcement. The most unfortunate part is that the police cannot enforce the general decline in morality and wanton selfishness that exists on todays roads. Well I am sure that gave all of you a good futile laugh right ? good luck fellow motorists and pedestrians ..watch out for yourself nobody else can....

Why do you need to know the names? Want to call them up and get them into a rehab? We don't need to know the names of these people-who cares. Just take away their licenses or put them in the slammer - OR BOTH !
