Btw, have you heard of the right to bear arms? Its in the constitution. You can have a gun to protect your family. You liberal junkies love to tear apart the constitution. Go back to occupy wall street and cry about your unrealistic views of society. Maybe you ll catch a beating when you push the wrong cop. I bet you think pushing cops is ok to right? Liberal

You are way off base, Dave, a couple of outlandish comments make you loook like an ass, which you likely are. Why are you so against cops? They're out there to protect us. And should retired police officers and detectives carry guns, yes, because they come upon ongoing crimes and/or suspicious happenings like UNDERCOVER guys and should be armed just in case.

Not that this is to condone what you said about Dave's wife, 911 Supporter. You would have been better off without that addendum to your reply. YOu lost a lot of credibility with that one. You have weakened your position with the other posters.

poor ignorant oceansider.
its bare arms not bear arms.
which means at home not in your custom made ankle holster.
redneck
to hell with the occupy people.
all of your assumptions are wrong-just like the friendly fire deaths.
who are you gonna call when some lunatic cop starts
beating your children over their heads with a baton
or taser your sister for getting hysterical?

Wrong Dave. To bear arms is to carry. To bare arms is to uncover. By the way, where is the bridge and do you own it from a prior sale?

Follow I did not lose credibility with posters. I am trying to uncover why he hates police so much. I can guarantee I am right. His comments like show me one smart police officer are so outlandish. And dave, bear is correct. Talk about stupid. Get a pocket constitution like I had as a kid. My kids were raised to respect authority. They will never get hit with a baton. All college grads. Two are police officers. One just got promoted to sergeant. Two ranks below his dad. He is simultaneously getting his masters. Just like his dad did. What do you do for a living? Or don't do? I bet you tried to become a police officer and failed the psych and/or physical portion

YOu are getting a bit egocentric, 911 Supporter, what with your own position on the force. As proud as you may be of your boys, there is a more humble way to put it, don't you think? Also, it still sticks in the craws of other posters, what you said about attacking Dave's wife. That will rile anybody up and you sure did. And we really don't need or appreciate the tete a tete between you two.

Ive dealt with people like dave before. Their blind hatred for the police has to come from somewhere. i asked him why he hates the police and he cant tell me. i took a stab at it. Im a proud dad and a proud former police officer. this thread is about the police. i put my credentials out there so dave understands what he is dealing with. if dave asked me a question instead of making blind assumptions id answer them. but he doesnt. just insults. i dont feel bad for him. especially after the 9/11 comment

Like I said, police officers are very underestimated. They deserve a lot more credit than they receive. My only experience with them is family emergencies and the guys who showed up at my house were nothing but polite, professional and compasswionate. Not even to point out that they face danger every time they put on that uniform to go on duty.

Thank you follow. I grew up in a police family. I've never seen a breed of humans that want to help and get involved like police officers. Of course there are some lazy do nothings. But most have a drive to help. This is why I get so disturbed by people like dave. In my he is a coward that could NEVER walk a foot post in the projects of Brooklyn north. I did it for 5 years. Winter summer all of it. I could never decide what I preferred. Freezing
cold and half the crazies or super hot with gun fire going off every night. I loved it though. I don't understand people who are anti police. Kind of dead give away that they're are criminals. Follow all coos appreciate the kind words. Trust me.

"i've dealt with people like Dave before".
how typical of the police mentality.3rd generation cop family.
How much longer is your family going to play the system for all its worth.I bet you took plenty of overtime to pump up your pension.
We the people pay for your grand larceny.
Thats why say what i do.
did you "hurt your back" for increased compensation?
one thing I can tell you is i am proud none of my children or family would ever want to be police or corrections.Maybe a profession requiring an education is beyond your intellect.
you are not a hero and should not be trusted with gun.

Lawyer huh? Where did you graduate from? I just started at hofstra law last year. Well restarted. I left in 2001 because of the obvious events and couldn't work 80 hours a week and go to school. Are you a traffic court lawyer?? Maybe that's why you hate cops. Losing to uneducated cops all day could be a bit aggravating. A lawyer and you don't know the constitution. Haha. Wow. Gotta love america. If you need to know, I did not get injured. Completed my 26 th year kid. As a captain you don't get overtime so wrong again junior. Anything else I can make a fool of you with?

Btw, I've never heard a father say "im so proud my kids don't want to be cops or corrections" except for career criminals. I really don't even believe your a lawyer/father/husband. I think you are a 20 something liberal who got arrested a few times. I actually feel sorry for you. Bad parenting probably caused the being that you are. You need to go to church and reevaluate your life. God bless.

so wrong
so limited n your thinking.
why dont you go have another donut.
your circle of infuence has been tainted by limiting your surroundings to "law enforcers".
I pity you for your ignorance and intolerance.
try working in the real world in your next life.
I really know of noone who would choose your career
path with half a brain.
sorry loser. again get it through your head.
YOU ARE NOT A HERO -just a dangerous moron with a gun.
NO GUNS FOR RETIREES-COPS OR OTHERWISE!!!
