2 The problem is that simple-minded people cannot grasp that no president could possibly turn around such a devastated economy in four years. The fact is that repulicans love teabaggers because they fall for specious arguments; they don't look beneath what they consider "common sense", and this country is far too complex to run on "good old fashioned horse sense". Case in point: Romney and Ryan don't want to help fund tution assistance. On the surface, this seems to be a good idea, because it puts more money on the bottom line, right? Wrong. tuition assistance means more Americans are better prepared to compete in the global workforce, and that means that - over their lifetimes - they will contribute far more in taxes than they ever took in student aid. |

3 Best thing obama did for education is the ibr. Now I dont get punished just because I went to an ivy league. Romney flat out stated that we shouldn't go to good schools because theyre expensive which is bullshit. One of the key means of upper mobility is getting the best education possible. Good education shouldn't be a reward given to only those that can afford it. It should be given equally. Obama fought to make it so students can handle the student loans with the ibr. Romney says we should just not go to college or be like him and have daddy pay for it. One of those approaches creates upward mobility and a stronger economic work force, the other is mitt romney's plan. |

2 So you think that a community college hides information on the subject or doesn't teach the same thing? Since times are tough I would tell a kid to CLEP out his first year costing next to nothing. Then go to a community college and get your associates degree and then go to a reasonable school of your choice that has the subjct matter you wish to graduate with. 3 You clearly know nothing about education. First off I went to a suny for undergrad then went to cmu for grad because I count afford a costly undergrad. I got my masters and it still cost 80,000 for tuition alone. The difference between if I got my masters and didn't? Without my masters, starting salary of around 30,000 to 40,000 with my masters I have a starting salary of around 80,000 to 90,000. However, without the ibr there was no way I could have gone to an ivy league. Also with an ivy league under my belt, I dont have to struggle to get work. Im first in line. its not because teachers in non ivy leagues are "hiding" info. Its because theyre not great professors and the schools dont have the resources. Also they dont have connections which is the major part. Part of cmu is they organize job interviews with companies that can afford to hire only the most elite of universities. The kind of companies like microsoft, apple, google that if they see you went to a community college they literally laugh and brush you off because they know the education isn't even close. After seeing the difference between a suny school and cmu, it's like night and day. Also how does college make you liberal. Please tell. Because the only thing colleges produce is educated human beings. So are you saying only liberals are educated...because if so thank you... |
