Let's close one of the schools. Let's give that school to the boe vp so she can open up a preschool there. Then let's cut full-day kindergarten (to save the district $ of course) and have all of those kids pay to go to the vp's preschool. It's a win-win!
Hey, anybody want to go to the PAWS Gala? Guess who's running West Islip PAWS Gala? JAMIE WINKLER. Yes, the very same Jamie Winkler who was awarded an exclusive contract with our district to give away--I mean lease out the 2 shuttered school buildings. In every situation, it's the same handful of people over and over and over and over.

Of course it's the same people. PAWS Gala? It's the same people who attend the gala too. They go to the gala to pat one another on the back for a job well done.
As compensation for their great effort they think it is acceptable to self help.
Why not? After all, they are the ones doing all the creating in this community.
So if a wonderful opportunity develops (as a result of the stars aligning in jupiter and mars) it's only natural that they enjoy the first fruits and partake in the bounty, they are so deserving. Amazing how there are so many coincidences. They must have incredible luck. Out of the blue, like a miracle, opportunities just come knocking! And, who could blame them if they take them!

The only person worthy of an award here is Scottie Craig. As far as the other two lackeys, could someone pat their heads for me and throw them a bone to see if they can still fetch.

I got your first sentence, the rest of your comment, "the other guy'd never have to chance...yada yada...what does that mean?
Scott actually does the thing he's been hired to do, does it well, and he's earned all the accolades he gets because of it. There is no magic to that.
