The trash is spilling out of the city and ruining(already ruined actually) the Island with their city mentality.(No respect for neighbors, cigarette butts thrown in the street). Its not a race thing, it is a city thing. City people are thrash and selfish.
Whats worse

Its been that way since he 70's. It got a little better in the 80's, but it has always seemed dingy, shabby and such.

There's nothing ghetto about West Babylon.

Sure, it's generally not as nice as many other places on Long Island but it's still not even remotely comparable to an actual ghetto. It's a stable area with hard working people and I rather live here then be around the annoying snobbery of the North Shore.

And some parts of West Bab have very good sized properties, like around Old Farmingdale Rd and all of the areas near the entirety Belmont Ave.

Yeah, i've heard about them; last summer was very unusual. I know parts of W.Bab come very very close to Wyandanch so there is spillover every now and then. But I think they caught the perp responsible and discovered that those incidents were all linked. I don't think the area deserves a bad reputation just b/c one vicious, unstable and jealous person from another town decides to cross the borderline, target and cause trouble in this area.

Rich&Flashy Garden City in Nassau County has the same problem with Hempstead ppl occasionally crossing over and causing major problems but nobody is quick to say Garden City is declining; which is interesting.

But the point I was making with that previous poster was that MANY parts of WB north of Sunrise tends to have somewhat bigger houses and bigger property sizes than the parts closer to the water, so not all of W.Bab has small houses. Interestingly enough, the closer you get to Wyandanch, the larger the property sizes *tend* to be. lol, not even joking

Hey numbnuts ... the property in west babylon tend to be in the smaller size. A lot of what you say is true but that. Criminals know no border and wander around stealing and drug dealing as they find vulnerable spots. The spanish are slowly but surely taking over wyandanch.
