Letter: Veterans Should Speak To Their Doctors About Risk For Lung Cancer
#1 Nov 29, 2013
Please get a lung scan, as my husband died of lung cancer in 2008, due to agent orange that he was exposed to while serving in Vietnam .

All Vietnam Veterans who were boots on ground in Vietnam should have their PSA monitored for prostate cancer, monitored for lung cancer and are known to have a higher incidence of mouth, throat, head and neck cancers, so they should quit smoking if they do and keep up with regular health check ups. Be aware that if there is a diagnosis of cancers, their VA hospital has state of the art cancer care and they should file paperwork for service connection claims for Agent Orange related illness!
