It is refreshing to know that the student had the good sense to report the incident immediately. Too often, students are afraid to report abuse. Kudos to that student for her bravery!

A word of caution here; before expressing outrage, it would be a good idea to consider all the facts. It is not unknown that children who need tutoring, very often have personality defects which may lead them to make an unjustified accuisation. The tutor, unfortunately, did not follow the cardinal rule for all tutors, HAVE AN ADULT FAMILY MEMBER PRESENT, at all times!!

You're both correct...IF this guy did as alleged, the girl is to be commended for telling someone quickly. After all, isn't that what we teach our children to do? If he didn't do it, there's another life and reputation down the tubes, while this girl may or may not get the help she needs. A tough situation, no matter what.

i work in the schools and would never want to be left alone with a child . i always make sure im with someone else. i seen things as have my peers as to always make sure people are present when with children. it just makes sense.it does not matter who you are.never stay alone with a child

It would be wise to wait until it can be determined if there is a positive element of truth. A touching of the hand might have been considered by the teen as fondling. Some people do find different ways to demand attention. For the sake of the tutor, why don't we wait before we condemn.

The comment of hot carl is definitely inappropriate. Sad how some people express themselves in an effort to be funny.

Notice the braying herd of castrators with their rusty knives at the ready have gone all suddenly quiet with respect to the school custodian with the unblemished record who was paraded in front of the cameras yesterday in handcuffs and now, suddenly, it seems he is totally innocent. While the knee jerks in the Bd of Ed try to figure out what to do about the school principal they decided to transfer, his neighbors all join in a disgusted chorus of "I told you so".

I believe that until she has proof she is lying because I ama student at Hempstead and I believe that he is one of the best teachers. My class is not afraid t admit that they have all stayed after school with Saintilus and nothing has happened. I just can't believe he would do that.

Students most of the time do not tell the truth; I know Mr Saintilus for a very long time and I am sure the truth will come forward...he is not the type to touch 16 years old girl. This may be a set up...I am sure he was set up and he will get his freedom...
