The fact is that changing the age to 19 wouldn't stop sales, it just wouldn't increase them because of all the new smokers who turn 18 before the bill and are grandfathered. the sales rates would increase a little then remain the same. the cigarette companies are all about money and the stupid things is that you can't be under 18 and buy cigarettes but yet you can smoke them at any age in public. Many people in our society wouldn't care about giving a kid smokes so any decision about changing the legal age would do nothing in terms of tobacco sales and so forth because of all the adults this year.
Actually. If you are under the legal age to buy you can actually be fined for being in possession of tobacco. trust me...>>....and my parents yelled at the pigs. they woke them up. Okeyday

Maybe we should just put some deadly chemicals in all the smokable drugs that will kill you if u have than like 3 a day. That way all you little drug addicts will die and stop polluting our oxygen. Problem solved. End of story. Except for the part where like 50% of our population dies and then Germany is like fuck that lets go kill those bastards then in 50 years from now they are gonna do the same thing alochol because americans cant hold their drinks. That is my opinon on the matter.
That is actually kind of funny except for the fact that the main pollutant is our cars. We are the only country that signed that better planet act thingy that hasn't doen anything different to improve...smoking is the least of your problems...i smoke..i have the decency to put out my cig around kids..not everyone is some stupid stereotype..and i am pretty sure once the first 1000 people die we would get smart...not all of us are completely brainless twits.

Let's be real folks...smoking brings in revenue, cancer brings in revenue, war brings in revenue...not millions---billions---if you believe for one second any of these things are ever going to go away, you are living in a dream world.

I am 18 and currently in the military stationed in korea. here, off base, you can smoke and drink at the age of 18 which is the way it should be. of course if i get caught drinking i can still get in trouble because i have to follow US rules but come on. if i have to come back to the states from being in korea, i should be allowed to buy myself some cigarettes. at the age of 18, i am in korea, i can fight for the country, vote, pay taxes but i cant help myself to a cigarette and a beer legally? come on. when your 18, your an adult, the decisions you make are yours.

EXCUSE me MORON, WHaT EXACTLY COULD THAT BE?!??!?!??!
LET me hear you tell me something that there is a substance that does not harm you. go ahead, reply and tell us all. so ALL could see how much of a moron you actually ARE!!! LOL
Theresa, you are a tool and a fool!

He is obviously speaking of Cannabis Sativa.

Not 1 death, It has been used as a medicine since medicine began!

Spiritually used for centuries, Medicinally as long and as a safe intoxicant as well.

And please don't be STUPID (why do immature idiots use upper case and extra exclamation marks so much?) and say Cannabis is a gateway drug. It has long ago been proved that it being illegal is the gateway!

Grow up, type like you are at least 12 and understand that when you act like that it's YOU who come off as the MORON! Okay STUPID?

That must make you the biggest jackass that ever lived. There is nothing dumb about what he said, except that the statement is true.
Tobacco and alcohol kill. Plain and simple. In fact, cigarettes are a nicotene delivery system. Designed to make addicts. So, wake up and stop judging others and look into judging yourself. You fall short of human.
