Might have killed him to sieze certain assets, to get single again and count on the system to free her, because she`s 'just a woman'. As one woman said,'it was that time of the month'. Murder is murder, and where is inequality in the system, NONE of us are free. Would they had let a MAN go home after few hours, knowing he just strangled his wife??? America, watch this case; see how far we`ve come .Question is, in what direction.

My heart goes out to his family. I really miss him very much. He was a very nice person. I feel so sad & I will be praying for the family. He was a wonderful man, through the years I known him. He will be forever missed. god blessed you all.

Precious are you a retard? When you feel like it's time to leave a man you can do just that. No need to kill him. Unless you were me.

What if she was telling the truth and it was self defence, if he was abusing her and she was fearful of her life, when he attacked her and she defended herself and hurt him, she might have been so terrified that she did not even realize that she took the she had choked him

No one never knows what goes on in people relationships.maybe she was wrong because she waited 1hr and so befor she called the police.self defence is not waiting to get help and texting other people before u call the police. No matter what people past r that should not stop them from wanting to be a better person.

I watched this on Snapped and she never appeared happy throughout this relationship. She was not ready for a relationship with an older man but she didn't want to let go of her lifestyle. She had left the house and all it took was for him to buy her a mercedes to get her back home. She didn't want to be with him but she knew that she couldn't have his money and not him if he was alive. Her own boyfriend testified against her. He had already had a heart attack so she should have left but not divorced him and she would have gotten all of his money and been able to live her life. No he did not deserve to die, but if he had put his hands on her she should have knocked his a$$ out. I hope other women can learn from her mistake and not trade happiness for money. Money can't buy you love and there is no need being miserable trying to get. We should all be content with food and shelter. Greed is a sin and you will rep what you sew when you are lead by greed and lying to yourself for the love of money.

I just watched Kelly's case on Snapped as well. I think the whole scenario is very sad. But I would have to agree with the last blogger: never marry for money or convenience; it's a trap that will always end in someone getting hurt--sometimes until "death do you part."

She knew what she was getting into. She played him from Jump Street. Black men go for types like her - exotic mixed women with long silky hair like Brazilians, Dominicans and Trinis. She was his trophy wife. Too bad she wasn't a smart one.

I saw this on snapped as well and I believe kelly got what she deserved. She used this man for money. She never loved him. He disgusted her, she wanted the luxury of his money and not him. She thought the system would work for her by saying she was abused. I am glad justice prevailed, because she had the choice to leave this man instead of take his life. If she could take off for brooklyn for the weekends, and move back in with her brother why is it she couldnt leave him indefinitely. I feel sorry for her daughter and micheals loved ones, not her.
