Patch Censorship of Those Who Post About BOE

I've had it. You can tell it's boe voting time and budget time because WI Patch is up to it's usual censorship of anyone posting about the boe or Sleter's friend Larosa. I'm getting a 'pending approval' on my Patch posts b/c I spoke out against Annmarie Larosa.
So now I'm posting it on Topix instead:
To Missy on WI Patch:
Really Missy? Bullies? You’ve gotta be kidding. No one is bullying Annmarie Larosa. People are posting all the astronomical coincidences that surround every aspect of Annmarie Larosa and every calculated move she makes. The only common thread in every single thing is Annmarie Larosa. Missy, Annmarie Larosa is on the Bd of Ed, Annmarie Larosa is a paid employee in the zoning dept of Town of Islip, Annmarie Larosa is bff’s with Jamie Winkler- and Jamie Winkler was awarded an exclusive contract to lease the closed school buildings, Annmarie Larosa was partners or still is partners with Helene Tsouprakis of South Shore Children’s Center –and South Shore Children’s Center is moving it’s location into the very school that Annmarie Larosa cast the deciding vote to close. Astronomical coincidences with one person in common: Annmarie Larosa.

Isn't it funny how "Louis" makes his very first post EVER and its just to say stop bullying AnnMarie. Hmmmm.....
#3 Mar 13, 2013
You are so right Pattie J.
#4 Mar 13, 2013
Obviously you have never posted on Patch before because you always get pending approval and if you had any patience at all you would see that your comment is there.
BTW "Patched Out" didnt realize your jurisdiction reached over here to Topix

I noticed how Louis (Annmarie) said to stop bullying in his first post too. Just another coincidence of how all these onetime posters post the same thing and then vanish in the night! Annmarie really thinks everyone will believe some wi business man named Louis is sitting at his desk in NYC reading Patch and all of a sudden has to put his foot down and stop the madness on Patch!LOL she's been spending way too much time w/3yr old who believe everything that comes out of her mouth. Now I'm laughing so loud I'm crying LOL.

Hey Annmarie, thanks for watchin Patch and Topix at the same time and instantly reporting back to us about what's going on on the other site. You must be spending 24/7 googling yourself to do damage control.

West Islip Resident - Its not about jurisdiction. Its about observation!
#8 Mar 13, 2013
Patti j, it's quite eye opening. I can't believe this is going on in such a blatant way and everyone is cool with it? Why?
#9 Mar 13, 2013
patch is censoring what people are writing? Wow, who's the Patch go to person?
#10 Mar 13, 2013
Censorship is done to prevent a reasonable point of view from being seen.
For example that guy Louis, he comes out of nowhere, and begins with a tirade about Islip Republicans spending public money on jobs for their friends.
That comment is a political one.
Is Louis trying to make a case for why it's okay to take care of friends while holding seats of power? Louis, if everyone jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge, would you do it too?
What a sick point of view. He brought up Islip Republicans. He made the connection, he raised the comparison, and then someone comes along, who works for the patch, refuses to print the comments that follow?
Censorship. Because they are afraid people might make the connection because of any replies to his comments.
Louis you are a hack. You know you are a hack. It's no skin off my hide how much effort you people put into censoring the replies, since I know that nothing that is brought to the fore will be accounted for anyway. It goes this way because of people who rightfully fear reprisals, but you should be ashamed.

Add me to the list of censored poster on west islip patch. I posted this reply to Louis at 12:30pm Wednesday and now it's not on there!
I'm following Pattie J's lead and will post it on Topix instead:
Louis the only reason why there's only 1 name being thrown out there is because there's only 1 name that's a common thread in EVERYTHING: Annmarie Larosa.
There aren't any assumptions or gossip only astronimical coincidences that all come back to one common thread: Annmarie Larosa.
Why does a public servant have to be questioned publicly? You didn't pose your question to Annmarie Larosa publicly, you said so you asked her to her face. Maybe others have asked Annmarie Larosa questions to her face and felt as if they weren't getting an honest response. For future reference Louis, Annmarie Larosa ABSTAINED from voting on the South Shore Children's Center lease, she didn't recuse herself from the vote. There's a legal difference between Annmarie Larosa abstaining from voting and recusing herself from voting.
I'm a topix poster now. There's no censorship to protect the wi boe like there is on patch!

Well, there's your mistake Firefirefire: You assume they can feel shame. They cannot feel any shame because their self imposed superiority justifies their ill behaviors and poor choices.
I can feel sorrow. I feel sorrow for their families who must endure the scorn and hatred of an entire town.

What are you people talking about? Every one of your alleged censored posts are on Patch for all to see. Why so paranoid. Could it be that your comments arent generating the reaction you want? You are basically talking with the same few people. Once again if someone disagrees with you we are on or friends with BOE. LOL just doesnt cover it.
#14 Mar 13, 2013
I have been censored too. The Europeans are trying to take us over by using the IB programme. They want us to be libtard communists. I told ALR and she laughed at me. She thinks she knows it all.
#15 Mar 13, 2013
Not alleged. They were frozen for a while, more than an hour. It took more than an hour for the moderator to figure out how to make a case for shutting down the thread. Scratching his head, he came up with "talking about a community member in a personal way." blah, blah, blah.
Except for one difference, when a community member puts himself/herself in the public eye, as a public official, and certain questionable issues arise as a by-product of their role as a public official, perhaps due to relationships and/or business ventures becoming blurred, what kind of outcry should the community make? None?
I know, I know, it would be better for you if everyone walked quietly into the good night, but they didn't so now what?
There is always topix to turn to and vent outrage. You may be able to shut the mouths of community members over at the lib slanted patch, but we already know of a very viable alternative to head towards.
Keep shooing people away, people who have every right to discuss where their tax dollars are going. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen, if the right thing is too hard to do.

Wendy and pampatriot seem to have it all figured out
#17 Mar 13, 2013
They have tea in Wendy's storage unit of BOE documents every nite to discuss the days postings LOL
#18 Mar 13, 2013
Slow your roll, take a vacation on the Riviera...brown noses are not looked upon in a positive light.
Turn coats either. Is MIssy your alter ego? Missy is a turn coat, who has seen the light. lmao.
Storage units that are under water in WI when the winds blow in an easterly fashion. Oh no....pods are floating in the driveways of people who live on the water....Shock of shocks...Nancy Pelosi...you have to pass the bill before you can know what's inside.
You people are dumber than a bag of rocks....go back to watching snooky, or the real housewives....that's your speed. PATHETIC.
#19 Mar 13, 2013
What are you babbling about? As usual it went right over your head. Either that or I gotcha!
#20 Mar 14, 2013
Yes, you are correct she did abstain from the vote on the SSCC lease and the vote to amend JW's contract too BTW. Why abstain and not recuse? People abstain when they have little information or knowledge on something being voted upon. People recuse when they are linked to the matter being voted upon in some way.
You would think that the Patch would do real journalistic reporting on such topics of community interest. It would behoove them to have had a headline that stated
"BOE vice president's 10 year partner from SSCC finds a new home at Westbrook ES"
What great news. The SSCC, which provides nursery school for many of WI's families has
found a new home in the recently shuttered Westbrook ES. The two directors of the school
have just recently gone their separate ways. We wish them both great success.
It's so fantastic that a BOE member and her close friend and partner from SSCC were able to
dissolve their partnership so that West Islip could have revenue coming into our community
from the newly leased Westbrook school.
The West Islip community doesn't know how to thank you both enough for
sacrificing your business partnership for a bigger cause, in the grander scheme of things,
the students of our district.
Your benevolence is a rarity around here.
It's rare to find two people so concerned and selfless, thankfully the combination of owning a business in this town, and being on so many committees and boards sure does help to get the job done, which is why we are so appreciative of the countless hours and sacrifices that were made by you both.
We can't wait to see what's in store for our future.
I would have enjoyed an article similar to the one above. Journalism is dead.
