I want you to think of this arrangement as an ORGANIC by product. Not that complicated.

Once again questions and concerns to be addressed to those in charge of the lease agreement. NOT THE IDIOTS ON TOPIX! Go to a BOE meeting or pick up the phone.
No, no, no. I urge you NOT to ask at a boe meeting or pick up the phone. THEY WILL TELL YOU A SHOVEL LOAD OF CRAP and expect you to run back and spread their crap on Topix and Patch. The only way to know exacty what's in the lease is to get a copy of it from the distict. YOU ARE IN CHARGE OF THE LEASE AGREEMENT, NOT THEM! It's YOUR RIGHT BY LAW TO ASK FOR IT AND RECEIVE IT WITHOUT THE SUBTLE THREAT OF HAVING YOUR NAME EXPOSED BY THE DISTRICT OR THE BOARD OF EDUCATION. Plus who cares if the whole world knows you asked for a copy of the lease? It shows that you're a West Islip resident who is interested in the facts of the whole picture, not just the carefully selected tidbits being spoon fed to the public.

We already know that there is a lease agreement. It's a simple fact already. Now all we need to do is see what action, if any, Albany will take.

Get a copy of the lease, read it and come to your own conclusions based on the facts in the lease. If the boe wanted everyone to know what a slam-dunk money making machine the lease is, they'd have posted it on the district website and they'd make sure it was passed out at every pta meeting. Like I said, don't take anybody's word---not even mine. Read the facts of the lease and you'll be able to make up your own mind.

you're right, I've already posted that same comment pages ago. Like I said the simplest explanation is usually the correct one.
If the district was making us proud, they would be screaming the monumental money making results from the rooftops, they would be proudly flaunting it every way they could. They would send their damage control doobie's here to stick it up our arses, and by the way, that would be music to my ears and yours too probably.
Sadly, that is not the case. It's just common sense. There is nothing to hide if everything is on the up and up. Why would anyone doing a superior job generating revenue for the district be so secretive?

Jessica,
Iím going to take your silence on my question that I have asked (many times)is that you canít find ONE SINGLE LINK showing rent for $10 all in. Wow did I find a way to Silence you doubt it but what I do know is you canít post one link showing rent at $10 all in. You can keep marking my question as spam so it gets erased but Iím going to keep posting it.

Me thinks Jessica's silence is cause she got herself a copy of the Bridges lease and read the facts for herself.

The square footage on The Bridges might be market value, but I doubt most markets include stocked libraries, stocked computer labs, stocked mst labs and indoor playgrounds. Not to mention fully furnished cafeteria's and classrooms. All of which are part of the lease to Bridges per the photo's on their website.
Sitting on empty buildings the BOE has left the district in a position where money in is money in even if it comes from Mrs. LaRosa's business or business associates, but the reality is that with the perks of premier school equipment being given as opposed to the empty space given in most lease arrangements both Bridges and SSCC are getting sweet deals.

Who says they are getting our books and classroom furnishings? Who says they are getting our computers and MST equipment? Did you read this in the lease?

No I haven't read a copy of the lease however on Bridges website they have photos of their Open House at Kirdahy and they show a fully stocked library and computers already installed in the computer lab so and so forth. Either Bridges moved like lightening after the dotted line was signed to have furnished the building in time for a January Open House or the photo's falsely advertise the facility or last and most likely possible the faciltiy was leased furnished and fully operational. Look right now it's surplus materials to our schools since our 4 remaining buildings were previously fully stocked and furnished so someone may as well use it, my only comment was that square footage is not usually inclusive of such luxuries. The sale or seperate rental agreement concerning district surplus materials would have generated addtional money. Honestly the outdoor playground equipement at both schools should have been relocated to our remaining buildings a couple of which have very old and even dangerous equipment. Instead it is a bonus to our new tenants.

but if commercial property is going from between 7 & 10 dollars a square foot and we are getting 10 which is the higher amount it seems reasonable that some extras would be included. while I would rather keep what we need for ourselves I have to say I don't feel my kids are lacking in anything at their school.....

"The school is equipped with state of the art technology for all grades levels to use. Each classroom is equipped with smart boards. There is a full computer lab for training and iPads that are used by all grades and classes for learning"

Those pictures on the website depict OUR stuff!
We, the tax payers, of this community PAID for those things. Costly merchandise, which we are giving away to be used at the bargain basement price of only $10. a sq. ft.
As I said, those pictures do show our stuff!

While we're at it, let's also give each of these students a college fund, I mean since we are being so very generous to this "not for profit".

I bet every mom and dad in this town would be willing to work another job, if that is what it is going to take, to maintain the luxuries for this 501 C.

It's only the right thing to do, even if their own children can't benefit from any of OUR STUFF, why let that stop us from being generous to other people who want to send their children to a private school?

You are a very intelligent person. However I don't understand why you keep answering crazy jessica's nonsense postings. Her remarks make it painfully obvious that she hasn't seen the lease and she's posting under the assumption that what's been leaked to her by her new bffs is true fact. Would love to be there to see the look on her face when she finally reads it for herself.
