First of all, the pension system is New York State, not Suffolk County. All police departments in New York State are funded by the STATE Retirement System.#2:As far as lawsuits go, the County (led by Levy) settles most of them. Many of them are frivolous and shouldn't be paid.#3: Tankleff is guilty; he's just managed to muddy the waters so much and it's so many years later that he managed to flim-flam the system.#4: The deputies haven't proven a thing. They learned how to write traffic tickets. Big deal. Levy is duplicating what we already have! Where is the sense in that? It's a personal vendetta and the taxpayers are going to pay big time for it.
If you really believe Tankleff is guilty then I see your ignorance and honestly, I'm done wasting valuable time debating nonesense with greedy government employees.

No...he is SUPER EMPLOYEE who never takes breaks or surfs the web all day like the other 99% of employees.

Most cops do more work in the REAL WORLD by 9am than the average person does all week!

God forbid more good, high paying jobs found their way onto this sandbar. Bring on casinos and indoor ski mountains!
Agreed. Instead of thinking about the jobs saved of people who will ultimately buy items in local stores, people want to keep such a job in another county. Just think about the gas stations, deli's, day cares in the immediate area that will benefit from a company in our backyard... no?
Oh that's right...you want to play poker. effin Loser.

you can be sure that canon isnt coming to melville unless they get a big package of incentives, from reduced property taxes to electricity costs and a lot more.

how about spending those millions putting people back to work instead of more "corporate welfare"?

canon is a billion dollar company, puhleez.
