Teen dead, 3 hurt in Melville crash

A teenage driver was killed and three passengers in her car injured, one seriously, in an early-morning crash Tuesday in Melville, police said.

Did people forget how to drive this weekend? Look through the pictures of accidents, numerous gas tankers and school buses, cars, SUVs rolled over, plowed through fences, houses, each other. I especially like the picture in the cemetary - how fast can you be driving in a friggin cemetary to crash and roll?

She wasn't on the cell phone....they're were people following us and tailing us,,,,we go scared and she sped up as we sped up so did they... she popped a turn and didnt make it...my best friend is dead mikey is still in the hospital and miriam and i were just discharged.

Sounds to me like she made a turn without slowing down to lose the person tailing her.
If this is true, it's a tough way to learn that if someone is following you, you should head towards a police/fire department or another populated public place instead of trying to Starsky & Hutch your way out of a situtation without the requisite stunt driving skills.

How about a little sympathy. HOw would you feel to loose your daughter or best friend no matter HOW they died it is still very very sad. I personally know her and I'm sure that you people who had NO idea what happend or didn't know her at all should just SHUT UP because clearly you don't know what you are talking about.

Whatever the case, I'm just saying the truth regarding teen drivers. I'm sorry for your loss, but the truth hurts. Inexperience cost a young lady her life.

The only people that should shut up are the ones who like to drive reckless and speed, so shut up! and drive like a normal law abiding person. Share this with your friends, maybe they have learned a lesson. It's easy to learn something outside of school.
