OPEN MOUTH AND INSERT FOOT! Adriano was NOT an illegal, nor was he an immigrant!! He was a FRIEND OF MINE, born in the good 'ol USA....just out taking a bike ride. What a tragic end of life. How very ignorant to assume that someone is illegal or an immigrant solely because of their name! I ask, If this was YOUR friend, or YOUR brother, or YOUR son, would you still be inclined to make such insensitive comments????? Shame on you!

Adriano Terranova was one of the most beautiful people I've ever met. He was American born and raised in Astoria, Queens. His contagious laughter still rings in my mind, his helping hand was there for anyone in need. His compassion for people was unsurpassed. I am hurt and saddenned that anyone would insult him, even if he was an immigrant, which he was not. He saved my life about 2 years ago. Thanks to him I am alive and well. I will never forget him and the goodness he carried in his heart. He taught me compassion, love for life, and most of all for myself. He will be missed dearly by everyone that knew him. May you rest in peace! If there is heaven I know he is there, because he was my angel on Earth. I love you, yeah, baby!!!

You people are disgusting! A working CITIZEN has died and left behind a family and friends that are filled with grief. May all of you never have to feel the pain this family feels. May God forgive all of you ignorant people

Dear Friend: My mom saw the accident and could not help but think of his family at that moment. She cried and even though she does not know him, it touched her deeply. At home, she kept talking about this stranger, if I could describe how sad she was this past weekend, you would think she knew him. I hope you and his family would find peace that he's with our Father Almighty. And don't listen to the fools that write only negative things, keep writing the beautiful things you remember about Adriano. God Bless him!

I send my greatest condolences to Adriano's friends and family.May he rest in peace. I just wanted to say that I cannot believe people would be so quick to stereotype. We are all human beings and NO ONE deserves to be killed the way that man dad. Who are you to judge who should and shouldnt be deserved to die. Everything happens by God's will. In my honest opinion,(not blaming anyone) but I just feel that bus drivers should be more careful in the way they drive. As a commuter, I always get cut off by them in that area. Its horrible. And I hope everyone also learned a lesson here and starts wearing their helmets.

I felt horrible all weekend long cuz the images of him lying there underneath the bus was horrible. One thing that sort of angered me was that the police were taking WAY to long in removing the body. It was like disrepect to him because he lied for more than 3 hours. The Crime scene investigation team took forever to come, about 2 hours. I feel that they couldve moved a lot quicker if they wanted to. Just imagine, none of his family or friends knew of his death for more than 3 hours.. I felt horrible thinking of the news coming to them.In conclusion, I hope he is happy where he is now. God bless him, his family, and his friends..
