Regardless if he eas into drugs, he did not deserve to die at such a young age and no family should have to go through what his family has gone through.

Prayers for this boy's family that they may find some comfort somehow.

Parents, hug your children tonight. Make sure they see this. Make sure they know that drug use leads only to jail, institutions and death. This could easily be any one of our children.

I never realized how rude, inconsiderate and totally horrible people can be. First of all, Massapequa is a great town and the school district one of the best in the nation. When I see things about "drug town" and "gangs", it angers me greatly. You clearly are thinking of EAST MASSAPEQUA which is AMITYVILLE School District, not Massapequa.
Second of all, how dare you insult his honor when he dies by posting hurtful comments such as "he was in to drugs". Kieran was a sweet, nice boy with still so much life to live who I was friends with at a point in my life. And for you to insult him without ever even speaking to him? I hope you realize your crude actions and instead wish that this boy rest in peace since he deserves to.

How come they allow rude comments on this story but we're not allowed to comment on the Roosevelt woman who burned up her boyfirends stuff?

Why wasn't there anything on the news about his disappearance? Did the cops just think he was just some runaway?

They didn't... people are just arrogant and care about the wrong things. Regardless of whether he "did drugs" or not, it is a horrible circumstance for this young boy and he was loved by many. May he rest in peace. <3

My sincere condolences to his family and friends. Whether drugs played a part in his death - no one should have to die like Kieran did. May he Rest in Peace. My thoughts and prayers also go out to all his classmates at MHS. May you all remember that drugs and alcohol might be a fun thing to try- it is addicting and will ruin your life- so remember what you have been told from elementary school to know- JUST SAY NO!!!!!

Asked if the death was suspicious, Officer Jean DeLuca, a department spokeswoman, said, "It's undetermined at this time."

Hmmm. Body found floating in a canal a month later... Nothing suspicious about that right?

So sorry for the tragic loss of this young man. My sincerest condolences and prayers are with his family. May he rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon him. He is with God and that is the comfort this family must take from this. It is a heartbreaker to bury a child. Life will never be the same, but he will always be with you. Please God, grant this family the strength to get through this very difficult time and days ahead.
