Everybody wants to be a star! Being a priest is a lonely job. Many times you don't have the answers for people really suffering. We need to endure despite the need for change that may not be coming. Keep it local Father Lisante but don't give up the media entirely.

One has to wonder why he was hosting this guy and never seeking faculties for him.

More than likely this bloke has some legal skeletons in his closet, financial or sexual, that would preclude his passing any vetting process. But, just being an active sword swallower is not reason enough to keep him from joining the fun and frolics here in the DRVC.

Lighten up congregation of OLL in Massapequa...

He seems to "try" and make things happen for the Catholic church, instead of just "daily masses"...

Msgr Lisante is a right wing fraud and a disciple of Judas. He does not speak for me nor practice any of my godly values.

I know Jim Lisante to be one of the best priests in the county, never mind just the Diocese of RVC.
He shines with talent and a desire to help others
He should be the bishop of the diocese and not Murphy. Murphy couldn't shie lisantes shoes. It is true that many of the priests of the diocese are jealous of Lisante.

Churches should be run as follows:

1. Make money
2. Pretend to believe in Jesus.
3. Protecdt fellow right wing priests who abuse children.
4. Make more money
5. get dupes to pay 5.2 million dollars for your own living space.
6. Get rid of the nuns so you can live in that mansion.
7. Make more money.

I've really enjoyed living like Daddy Warbucks over the past 30 years thanks to conservative dupes on Long Island. Thank you so much for your kindness.

He is a climber, a fraud.

He has an ego that leaves little room for Jesus.

It is all about HIM and no one else.

It is about HIS needs.

Can't wait for the dry bones to come marchin' out... should be quite the show.

Do you know where Twoomey is living? Snoozeday was pretty short on details of his recent arrest, and of course the DRVC obfuscated in their offical statement.

Lisante is a gift to this community; he is a progressive man. He has been the only clergyman to ever make me question my disdain for organized religion. He is a wonderful person and priest. Shame on people for attacking him. I feel so grateful that he married my husband and me at our 2004 wedding.

It would not surprise me at all to find a sex scandal attached to someone so obsessed with others' sexual practices.
Are you one of those foolish people who fear wicked people but have absolutely no qualms about saying anything you feel like, and coming against a person associated with God?

You've got it all backwards.

You need to be more careful.

Watchful eye? The same watchful eye which did not know they had a priest operating in their diocese for several years with no lawful right to be here?

The LIC reported some blather about him being in a "non-ecclessiastical setting", but I think the public has a right to know what kind of jerk may be living near their innocent loved ones.

Why doesn't DRVC want to say where he is kept under wraps? They are most often motivated by money and prestige, so I would think the truth would be painful to them because bad publicity leads to loss of income.

Before that he was in West Palm Beach as Music Director at a church while still having his name plastered as the Director of Worship for the diocese.

What a tangled web of deception the diocese weaves.
