Sounds like a waste of good court time - and who gets to pick up the tab ? Rules are rules - get over it and move on.

Yes, I am sure every college wants a disciplinary problem plagued student. I think maybe additional priorities should be coming into play? Dad is ticked he may have to pay the whole tuition bill I guess. Does he not think that the kid's disciplinary history will be on his transcript/

Seems to be a trend of Long Island students, from seemingly good districts, falling through the cracks of the education system. While the fault remains with the student and family 99% of the time, the districts needs to stick to their Codes of Conduct without waiver. Athletic kids with no impulse control and weak administration in the schools are to blame. Everyone is responsible.

The lack of common courtesy and common sense exhibited by may high school students on a daily basis is incredible. When I'm shopping I see 14,15,16,17 year old kids cursing at their parents, adults, store employees and anyone else that gets in their way. They are generally rude, crude and display a lot of anger because they have to wait in line or have follow any type of rules or procedures. I believe if this student was cursing at a teacher it was done with a very loud, menacing, and threatening tone. I mean "what right does a teacher have to question him when he is disturbing a class?" The biggest problem is most parents and school districts don't properly discipline these kids and the kids know they can act this way.

Is this the same father who tried to make it a police matter when his kid was tossed out because of HIS bad behavior? What next, we make it a racial thing? If I'm not mistaken Dad doesn't live with junior, most likely a divorce, so I'm guessing he's on the HOOK for a college education via a court order. You should have stayed Dad, you could have taught the kid some manners and told him he was joining the Army after high school! One of the dirty little secrets about divorce, the kids are instantly entitled to a college education on your dime, and you KNOW that the ex is going to have junior go... just another way to screw the ex-hubby! This is the REAL reason Dad is so mad, he was hoping junior got a sports ride to college, but now HE'S on the hook! Cut through the smoke screen and get the REAL story!

Uh, hello....I have a Jr in college and a soph in HS. Neither of my children have ever been suspended or even received detention. Let me tell you, if I received a call that either one of them misspoke in school, suspension from school would not be their only problem.

Mind you, I would NOT have to beat them. They know better. Remember, children learn what they live. The father is completely at fault for his son's behavior and a wonderful punishment is that he NOT receive a scholarship for his athletic abilities and his parents have to pay for his entire college (2 months) experience. He won't last!

Hey Three Village parents, Stop coddling your kids in this manner. You failed to teach them respect before they entered the classroom, This is what happens.

Mybe the teacher felt Terror, maybe he should charge your kid with Terrorism.. Now you are into it for Thousands of dollars. Of course you probably have the money to spend for your parenting shortcomings. Probably Betting against the schools Funds for this trial.

My poor baby MIGHT get a scholarship in Sports so let's forget what he did. Jerky parents, this is what our youth is being taught. VERY SAD

no, Discipline and Respect are the informal education that must be taught at home. The families that live in these Higher financial areas fail miserbly at this. They pay Illegals to do all the Household chores so the kids do not learn from example or by doing themselves. Mom is out getting Botox and Blonde hair while dad is bumping uglies with the secretery or playing golf with networking buddies. So the kids are not taught unity or respect for people as well as material things. All dad cares about is some nothing scholarship. Where's your priorities man!??!!

Hey fool, do you are the loan voice....you must be the Urso kid who is such a contribution to society. You'll get yours.
Somebody bigger and stupider and ruder than you is waiting for you out there in the real world. And you'll deserve everything you get. Exactly which teacher do they think is going to write a positive college recommendation for that low-life. The father is out of his mind thinking he'll get a scholarship.

Ward Melville is not the only high school with parents like this. My neighbor's son just assaulted some girl in his school. He's been stopped by the police for driving out of license, for loitering, for general nuisance stuff, the teachers can't stand him (I know some of them) and the parents are clueless. They were so angry at the kid for getting in trouble that they took him and his girlfriend out to dinner the same night they found out he got in trouble, and in the restaurant he was bragging about what he did to his other friends.
The parents actually THINK they are good parents, because they have a daughter who is really nice.
But they see everything this delinquent does as harmless. He too is a criminal in the making and they just don't see it. THESE PROTECTIVE PARENTS ARE SO BLIND. Once they have to shell out money for a lawyer they may open their eyes.

I've got some more news for Papa,Don't you realize that when you show up with this overgrown brat at college they will see you coming from a mile away. I work at a college and we can spot the hovering parent in a room full of people. Good luck with the scholarship Ha !

Yes and if this teacher was to ever defend himself the parents would have him arrested and the school district would look the other way. As you say he is a black belt and the parents would press charges saying he was a lethal weapon.

Chris it sounds like you are another Aaron. Everyone, in general, on this blog can see that Aaron has problems both past and present and his father only exasperates the situation by making excuses for his conduct.
