Harry R. Untereiner died May 3, 1942 at the age of 58 on his 58th birthday. His wife's name was Daisy, if that helps.
Harry R and Daisy are my grandparents. They had a son named Harry who married a catholic woman. They in turn had a son who became a catholic priest. This priest should be in his 70's now I think.

Some of the problems in Wesbury go back to the time of Father Lee, now Archimandrite Joseph of the Ukrainian Archdiocese of Philadelphia, after a stint with the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox, who also got rid of him. Bishop Dudick was very naive for taking this guy. Bishop Michael was a great guy, but sometimes generous to the point of naivete

The post:
ROCHESTER NY-- MCQUAID JESUIT HS-- LAY TEACHER AND PRIEST
Looking for information on lay teacher named John Tobin who taught at McQuaid in the mid-70's, also on a priest named Untermeyer I think who was there for a short time in the late 70's...both molested me, acting together
Also looking for fellow abuse victims from mcQuaid...
The answer:
John Tobin is indeed deceased. I wasn't aware it was from AIDS related causes; I had heard he left teaching after a student went AWOL on a trip to Europe he was chaperoning and that he had long since grown tired of teaching. I believe it was commonly known he was gay, though I did not know he was an abuser.
The priest who acted in concert you refer to was there from 1978 to 1980--his name was Harry Untereiner (that's the correct spelling, and I have a yearbook photo of him), and he taught Junior year history. As I recall, he was transfered from the Arch diocese of New York for a short time to Rochester.
You might try contacting McQuaid to see if they know of his whereabouts, or alternatively you might try tracking him through the Arch Diocese or provincial office. The Jesuit provincial office is likely to be of more assistance--VOTF meets at St. Ignatius Loyola in New York city--the provincial office is right next door, and they are far more supportive of VOTF and VOTO than the Arch Diocese.
Sorry I posted this once in the wrong place... I hope this is listed in the right spot
Tobin was fired by McQuaid due to that trip mentioned above. He didn't stop teaching, though. He then took up a position at an elite school in Mexico. About 10 years ago, he was murdered there. To my knowledge, there has never been an arrest.

I hope this information helps.

GMD is still a priest in name, but I hear he lives with his wrestling buddy Tony in Wisconsin somewhere. The diocese of Passaic just payed a male victim of GMDs $200,000 to settle a molestation charge. You decide. Google the stories that are all over the web about this.

Daily Horoscope for May 19

Taurus

Life hasn't exactly been plain sailing recently but you're navigating your way through calmer waters again. In fact, you're feeling pretty sunny-tempered and relaxed, and may even wonder what all the fuss was about during the past few days. It's a great excuse to go out on the town, or to visit your favourite restaurant for a relaxing meal.
