Have you experienced bullying and/or discrimination at Binghamton University? If you are a current or former student or employee at Binghamton University and have encountered bullying or discrimination what were your experiences? Did you try to get help? Did that work? This is an attempt to connect with everyone who tried to access grievance processes or remedy the situation at the school. Compliance officers should be required to make a good faith attempt to prevent and to disrupt all discrimination and bullying not just protect the institution from legal action and blame the victim. There is strength in acting as a group and working to eliminate the problem together. If you have been bullied, treated unfairly, if grievance processes have been withheld from you or if you have been advised not to file a formal grievance in favor of an "informal" process (chatting), there may still be an appropriate, responsible way to encourage fairness. An institution like Binghamton University ought to welcome grievance processes as a way to show that they endorse the highest standards of justice! As educated people, we can use words to encourage change. Do not be discouraged! Will post contact information here soon.
