doesnt surpise me that li doesnt close the schools. all they are concerned about is the money they will be losing not the health or welfare of the other children, teachers or others outside that might be infected. and yet we still have these dirty infected mexicans still crossing our borders. are you sure this isnt some sort of terrorist plot? would not surprise me in the least if it is.

Why are the schools not requiring students to wash their hands before lunch ???? It's a CDC recommendation but not required by the schools. Don't leave it up to 7 and 8 year olds to decide if they need to have germ free hands before eating lunch !!

I just found this video on You Tube that really shows how germs and viruses spread. It is so cool. It's meant for kids but I even learned a lot!

There are actually 2 confirmed cases of swine flu at Hewlett High School and I do not understand why they don't decide to close because everyone is getting sick now and there are probably more non tested swine flu cases in the district. These schools need to be closed before it spreads even further.

Absolutely unbelieveable. They really need to close the schools or parents should all keep the kids home. This virus is not "just an ordinary flu" READ THE DETAILS! Its a genetic compilation of like 4 different virus' making it not just an "ordianary flu" SCHOOLS SHOULD BE CLOSED!

Yesterday the average class rooms were with at least 6 children out sick and at least 50 went to nurse sick. When should school decide to close. I feel these numbers are too high. NYC scholl are more pre cautions.
