Most minors, and especially coalminors, have a very tough job! They should be allowed to drink as much as they want!

If a kid has a mustache he should be allowed to buy booze.
It's up the the guy in the store to tell if it's a real mustache or a fake one.
Usually you can spot the fake ones easily.

Honestly, these antiquated drinking laws need to be overturned. They just don't work. They make criminals out of our kids and they turn minimum wage clerks into investigators.

Instead of drinking in a controlled environment they are forced to drink in parks and at school grounds. Also, because the alcohol can be hard to come by, when you do get some you will abuse it.

The laws do nothing for drunk driving, as the kids will get the alcohol anyway. Also the highest rates of drunk driving happen to those in the upper 20's. Countries like Germany, where the drinking age is 14 without parental consent, the rates of drunk driving is much less.

Lets punish the drunk drivers, not a whole class of citizens.

I agree the drinking age should be lowered to 18 for active duty military personel when they complete basic. Especially on a millatary post.

1) Nobody is forcing your kids to go to Iraq.

2) Yes the drinking age is lower in Germany but the German Police have much less restrictions on their authority then our police ex. they can do random checkpoints and check EVERY driver. The punishment for DWI is probably also alot stricter then here in the US.

It has been. Active military members can drink on base at 18.

Hey, instead of going after the bartenders and bouncers, why not ticket the friggin kid breaking the law? Maybe taking his money and making them go to Court might teach them how to drink responsibly, like they did back in my day. Go ahead, go home and tell dear ole mom-n-dad that you got a $100 ticket....

The lesson these kids are learning is that IF they get caught, someone else will get in trouble, and the next weekend, they pick a new bar.
