Few Melrose Park officials are commenting about Scavo's guilty verdict because they obviously knew what Scavo was doing for years.

So-called Melrose Park spokesman Gary Mack in the link story gave uppity and cranky responses when questioned about Scavo. The arrogant we can do as we please attitude remains alive and well in Melrose Park officialdom. They never learn.

2012 is a long time from now. Remember she might of spoke up but she was part of this to. Its a little late to speak up...if she was smart.she should of stayed silent. She is a part of the administration the last 13 years. Who is she to comment.

I believe Ron Serpico is Maryanne's godfather. She threw a party for him at the Oak Park Arms hotel when he ran against Taddeo. It's mean to talk about her weight. Unless you've had a weight problem yourself you have no idea how hard it is to deal with. Her downfall is her husband. Jimmy is not liked by many people. I heard she was divorcing him. I also don't think she & Serpico are very close anymore. Her office was moved upstairs in the village hall. The Village Clerk belongs downstairs to see & greet the people. It looks like the powers of her position has been taken away by Serpico. I heard she also has a job at Macy's in Oakbrook. She is a vey nice girl but I don't think she is qualified to serve as mayor.

Why is Jimmy not liked? Oh and I heard that Salemi did not have a degree till the Village paid for her to go to school. So she better thank Ron for not only her job but her education.

Sorry, even Melrose Park is not a dictatorship where people like you running and ruining this town get to decide whether or not anyone talks. That's the sort of attitude Vito Scavo has. You can ask him about it when you visit where he and his Melrose Park criminal companions will be going.

All the Trustees are cowards. Abruzzo and Mota are just waterboys and the other 2 Taconi and Prignano are ok but they don't speak up. Italia is the only decent one. And I don't remember the other kid so that must tell you something about him.

Arturo Mota should run for Mayor. He can beat Salemi and more importantly, he can beat martines.

I hear Jesse is ornganizing the mexicans so we have to have a candidate who is mexican. Mota is liked by us old timers and has respect for our Italian ways plus he is very popular with the mexicans.
