Can't say I'm surprised. The whole town is one big office park.

So what! They still treat their senior employees like crap. And their prices are too damn high.

Better Itasca than Phoenix, Atlanta, or Charlotte. Glad to see they're staying local.

Have fun even further out in suburbia with $3.25/gallon gas. I'll be shopping at Cermak Foods. Thanks for the memories.

You shopped at Jewel's corporate HQ? Was the CEO pushing carts? Moron. Chicagoan wrote: Have fun even further out in suburbia with $3.25/gallon gas. I'll be shopping at Cermak Foods. Thanks for the memories.

Please wait...
I don't blame them. Get the heck out of Cook County and into DuPage. Smart business decision given the fleecing of businesses in Cook County.

i think he meant people having to drive farther to get to work, assuming they live in or near the city.
As for me, I won't be shopping at Jewel anymore. I still have family in Melrose.

I've never shopped at a Jewel Headquarters. Is it nicer or differant then a regular Jewel/Osco?
Maybe if I don't have to remember to take that silly Jewel card I might just make the trip and check it out!

IT HAS COME THE TIME WHERE YOUR EMPLOYES ARE ONY INTERESTED IN LUNCH,BREAK AND GETTING THEIR CHECK
ITS NO LONGER CUSTOMER SATISFACTION i you ask a question to a customer service rep. they will make a fool out of you if you let them you had a sale of four twelve packs of coke for ten dollars but the sign on the shelf says four for for eleven dollars. it should state 2.75 apiece 4 for 10.00 when brought to the attention of customer service she talked to me like i was a dummy A sign like 4 for 11.00 makes the customer feel like their getting screwed like they often to in the stores when the price doesn't meet the check out. cut the guessing out of shopping and you will increase your sales. also canvas the attitude of your employees.
